  • Hi Frank, Yes, always in the bottom and out the top unless it is a hand pump filled gravity system that you see a lot of in the third world.

  • It would be a good system for heating pools as it would be installed on ground level ,i would put the inlet at the bottom of the first tank as hot water will rise and the outlet on top of the first barrels going to the bottom of the other and out the top again these would also keep the barrels full .

    another use would be heating hot water for washing clothes ,dishes and showers .

    Good idea Walt ,i might just set the system up next summer.
