the first album was more successful however, and it is my belief that the half of the band that stayed as patd tried to go back to try to achieve something similar, essentially selling out their artistic integrity to appeal to the masses. the half that became the young veins followed their artistic ambitions and expanded on the indie/beatles-influenced part of pretty.odd. Sadly, both bands didn't get the same results as the original full patd
