I just happened to see the vid, first, of Mr Wimbush describing his effects and giving some ex's of how they could be used. A nice, friendly, informative, entertaining bit of info. It prepared me better to see him here playing what sounded to me like lead guitar lines, more coolness to add to the bass arsenal, there to use, or not, as preferences go.

I don't know what he was using at the time of this video, but currently he is using the MXR Bass Blowtorch...he keeps it on the far right side of his signal chain [in the same location as he appears to step]. It is an amazing fuzz, I own one myself.
