I submit that both liberals and conservatives, tend to want the same things, they just use different names. like Obama's speach calling for a "community security force as powerful and well funded as the military" yes his own words. A community security force is a malitia! The bible teaches against greed, hording wealth and to care for the poor and needy, Liberals want social programs for poor and distribution of wealth etc. Difference? Gov't is appearantly liberals God.

It really does, so lets get this straight a Democrat majority congress cant get it together on Obama care. What a sign of weakness. Mathews is a hack, and a mouth piece for this administration

The Dems have been trying for some kind of universal health care for decades.

The Repubs have always stood in the way.

The Repubs tried desperately to stop Medicare and finally gave in when it became apparent how popular the idea was to US citizens.

And so the health care system in the US continues to deteriorate.
