And Azusa's guitar doesn't really sound like a Fender Mustang. Other than that, they both show off some seriously awesome rhythm guitar.

@redfairy7 Well if you look at the Fude Pen Boru Pen clip, you can see that Azusa does the solos and Yui the rythm so... Or I might be wrong. I don't know. Haven't watched K-ON! in a long time XD

@redfairy7 Yui was the lead guitarist for awhile because well, she was the only guitarist. After Azusa came and auditioned, she realized how much better she was. Yui stubbornly continued to play lead because she didn't want to lose the position of "sempai" with Azusa. Eventually she gave up and Azusa has played lead since. In exchange though, the rythym tracks became more complicated as of season 2.

@ntate123 No..Yui was the lead guitarist! in Go! GO! Maniac she was playing the lead...and so on the other songs...and she never did gave up on lead guitarist....try researching it on Google or read Yui's bio in Wikipedia if you want!

@LeMaitreDeSorts in go go maniac yui and azusa both did the solo the first part played by yui and the second part played by azusa. in all of k-on songs yui played the rhythm and azusa played the lead but sometimes when the solo part begin. yui will play it.

@thanapatBBB Okay..i have just one question.. Did Azusa played all the lead parts in all K-ON! songs? or are there some songs that Yui played the lead part..because many said Yui is the lead guitarist....and Azusa is the rhythm guitarist..

@Warlin32 in my opnion she is more additional guitarist than lead guitarist because azusa add a lot of effect to music like wah wah,delay,pitch shifter etc. to make songs more completely. Example "Fuwa Fuwa Times" azusa just plays a simple single or double note but makes a lot of effects. yui plays chords and solo. if the lead guitarist is mean to play the solo part, yui mostly take that 60%. azusa has lead part example on "don't say lazy, no thank you! and her character songs"

Yes, there are two versions. The first one is from the first season and the single 'Cagayake! GIRLS', second one is adding Azusa's guitar as rhythm and Yui being fully lead, from the album 'K-ON!! Official Band Yarou-Yo!!'

Any idea on how to do the sounds on the guitar at 0:35, 0:39, 0:41, 0:50, 0:55, 0:52, 0:56, 0:58, 1:01-1:05, 1:33, 1:34-1:39 (The sound that gradualy gets louder), 1:40, 1:42, 1:44, 1:51, 1:53, 1:56-1:57, 1:58, 2:01, 2:04-2:08, 2:42-2:45 (Kinda sounds like a Wah pedal), 3:42-3:44, 3:49-3:51 (Dimebag squeal on whammy bar perhaps?), 3:55-3:58, 3:59-4:01.

Hecka lots of pedals and tricks in this song, mind sharing how you do them with me please :3

@LUIGIYOSHI112 0:35 is a Blues Driver -> Wah (i'm thinking a non-standard crybaby) - >Delay - > Solid-State Amp. Sounds fairly strait forward to me.

2:42-2:45 is just a tapped line with a wah and fairly crunchy distortion. Think a blues driver, as I said above. Lots of delay, probably a single-coil pickup as well.

3:55-3:58 and 3:59-4:01 is just floyd-rose hijinks. With the same signal chain as all the other guitarlines you asked about.
