It's not really a matter of bribery or anything. It's a degree of difficulty to make videos in a game. CoD was easy for a lot of people because you just have to record gameplay, no editing necessary. And 2, CoD is widely regarded by your average college frat boy, so it appeals to a large group.

TF2 machinima used to be a much bigger hassle to make, but that all changed with the replay update.
