the last of the original gameplay in re.. claire is one of the best!!! she started out as an ordinary girl in RE2.. with no training or experience.. she should be the main character in RE6.. with a twist from steve burnside as the hypnotized enemy.. leon has taken so much gratitude in RE4, maybe it's time for claire to claim her reward in RE6 and also rebecca chambers
resi has changed so much now. :( 4 the worst, its more like a fps now . i enjoyed 4 and 5 for sure but didn't have the dread of not being able to see enimies like this and the earlier ones
Claire is the only RE character with a consistant voice actress. She has the same voice in 2, Code Veronica, Degeneration (CG movie), and Darkside Chronicles.
code veronica was a great game but i hated the grading system basically they wanted the player to not use first aid spray,beat the game in 1 hour, and not save .
her eyes are so real even for a game made back then, her lips are real too you dont dee that in video games on ps3 or 360. or at least i havent, but she looks nothing like her brother
yep, there are xD 1) Steve don't have the same hair cut xD in Code Veronica looks like a lot Leonardo di Caprio. 2) Wesker, in CV some scenes change, the battle final of Chris vs Wesker, in CV there isn't. anndd I think there aren't more differecies, but, yep, there are differences ^^
One thing I don't get. Claire leaves to find her lost brother, Chris. When she's on the island, she contacts Leon, who then contacts her brother Chris. Chris then goes to the island to save her.
Does that not seem fishy to you? How is he "lost" if Leon knew where he was the entire time, and Claire was even aware that he knew when she made the distress call.
I think the thing was more like Claire emailed Leon that she needed help and Leon then emailed Chris. Remember during this time Leon is working for the president (I think since he was only a cop for a day), so he would be able to grab anything about Chris or his whereabouts. Of course this is only a possiblity. Also, Chris was never lost, he's just never around and hard to reach.

After getting captured on the island, she contacted Leon to send her brother over to help her. Why would she even be there if she knew? Unless somehow she found out during an MSN conversation on the computer she uses to send help.
No, it's not simple, it is a plot hole, a pretty big one.
Perhaps you should actually follow a game before you try to describe apparent plot holes. She quite clearly found out during CV that Leon knew where Chris was. She contacted Leon to relay a message to Chris, who in turn went to rescue Claire. This was plainly pointed out to you during the game. I question if you even played Code Veronica.
She went to find Chris, and as a result she was captured, imprisoned, and stuck on a zombie infested island. Where in this time did she find out Leon knew where chris was? She had access to a computer at some point, Steve says Chris is being watched. Then all of a sudden she says she'll get Leon to warn Chris, and Steve suggests jokingly that Chris should come save her. It would appear that she already knew Leon knew Chris's location, so why did she end up on the island?
@The0Shaun They made a secret mission on their own: Leon, Barry & Chris. Umbrella spys everywhere. Claire had no contact cause if Umbrella knew where they are, the mission would be over and all were killed by some agents, mafia or whatever.
@The0Shaun If I remember from my playthrough with Leon's scenario in RE2, when you search Chris's desk in the S.T.A.R.S. office, you'll find his journal, which wasn't there in Claire's scenario. The last entry in the journal tells where he went to, as well as his reasons for not telling Claire. I'm guessing Leon kept it to himself out of respect for Chris's wishes, and when Claire was captured, he used the information from the journal to track down Chris.
@The0Shaun On the island Claire found out that Chris was being watched by umbrella. I guess Chris was a wanted man and knowing that Leon used them to find Chris. Or so I've read.

and that bit at 2:30 is exactly what Alice from the Resident Evil movies does in Resident Evil: Apocalypse .. I wander if they got the idea from this o_O

RE Apocalypse was more like RE3 mixed with a hint of RE2 (The Lickers). I hate how the they turned it into Dawn Of The Dead (remake) wit X-Men on RE Extinction. Well, those movies were very disappointing anyway. Have you seen RE Degeneration? I'm having the hardest time solving where that fits in with the video games lol (if it does that is)

what i know is that re3 came a day before re2 check the timeline in re2 in the area where u meet than kill marvin. Read the board by the door it says: september 29th todays date.
But in re3 in begining jill says september 28th daylight. leon an' claire escapes racooncity a few days before the blast. jill escapes days later right before the blast beacuse she gets knocked out from the virus and wakes up on oct. first a few hours before the city blows up. hope that helps.

When this game first came out I didnt have a dreamcast, but I was a diehard Resident Evil fan. I couldnt play the game but the intro teased me like no other. I would watch it as it was shown on the TV's at the local blockbuster. Man, I was hooked to it...
A few years later I got a PS2 and when Code Veronica X came out I jumped at the chance... man, the memories...

lol noob. its hard because its supposed to BE hard. hence the term survival horror, you just dont play the game and expect to finish it at once thats noob talk. it takes time to finish and most importantly it takes BRAINS and THINKING to finish.
and yes re4 ruined the series and should have never been made.
as a game in its self RE4 is good great even. but as part of Resident Evil continuation game play and story wise its just bad REALLY BAD.

I see what you're saying, but on the case of Resident Evil 4 it actually says 'Forget "SURVIVAL HORROR". This is Resident Evil refined with more menacing enemies, intuitive controls and intense, action-packed gameplay.'
So in theory with that said, Resident Evil 4 is not a survival horror game.
I agree, re4-5 doesn't scare me, that's why I'm not looking forward to re5 that much..it's just slowly creeping away from the whole "realism" situation, re0-3 was the best because it just felt real, like something like that could actually happen..after that, it just started to become more like a hero fantasy
i'm in need of help! im still in the begining of the game! i'm all the way to the end of the first begining passed the part where you go thru the medal detectors now what do i do? i put that paper that was in the briefcase on that machine and it said it needed something about the 3d? help im so stuck!
go back ehre the explosion happened outside the prison and go to the car which exploded.take the suitcase after blowing out the flames!i suppose you have the tool in order to blow out the flame!!!good luck.Oh!And watch out for zombies!!!
i love this game but i had to start it over from the beginning a few times :P
the first time was when i met the frosen boss in the back of the plane,i wasted all my granades on him earlier. Then i had to start it over when i was chris because i didnt know that the black guy would give u a lighter. then i had to start from the beginning when i was on the last boss :P the dragonfly. when i met her i only had the shotgun on me because i had left all the good weapons on claire
2:39 claire is flat as pancakes, sorry I couldn't help but point it out XD Other than that, This game is an awesome collection, the knife actually became of great use.
Umm by black guy do you mean the one after she shot the propane tanks? Cuz if you didnt notice, her gun didn't have any bullets left in its clip and barrel.... And the other guys did, so if she tried to pull the trigger than BOOM would happen

question, how does leon and clair go to racoon city where most of the buildings are inntact whn in resident evil 3 nemisis which was saposed to come before res 2 a bamb was droped on the city that completely ereased everything destroying buildings and zombies

When this game first came out I didnt have a dreamcast, but I was a diehard Resident Evil fan. I couldnt play the game but the intro teased me like no other. I would watch it as it was shown on the TV's at the local blockbuster. Man, I was hooked to it...
A few years later I got a PS2 and when Code Veronica X came out I jumped at the chance... man, the memories...

lol noob. its hard because its supposed to BE hard. hence the term survival horror, you just dont play the game and expect to finish it at once thats noob talk. it takes time to finish and most importantly it takes BRAINS and THINKING to finish.
and yes re4 ruined the series and should have never been made.

Oh HELL no, RE4 kicks righteous royal ass! Wanna talk about ruining the series? Umbrella Chronicles and Survivor should've never been made, IMHO...
UC = redundant and irritating (it's the Wesker show! That's cool for the Wesker fan, but it added nothing, NA-thing, to the RE legacy)
Survivor = badly made...very, very badly made...very, very, very badly made...and shitty acting...ok, it sucked
But that's just my 3 cents (adjusted for inflation), it's all open to opinion, after all... :)

as a game in its self RE4 is good great even. but as part of Resident Evil continuation game play and story wise its just bad REALLY BAD.
an example:
Leon: for a guy that survived a zombie infested city with a smile in his face he sure does brood a lot in this one. and the shit he pulled makes wesker look normal. NO TO MARY SUES!!!
Weapons/Items: Weapon Upgrading is CHEAP! Its SURVIVAL HORROR for fucks sake! dont give us the option to buy and or up gread our guns.

Well the only the link between the other games and this is Leon, Ada and wesker thats about it. well i guess your right there, it just didnt feel like a res game the Story line= rescue the presidents daughter. what ever happend to = survive the infection and get the fuck out. i miss that in res games HELL they even put another story line in res4 and it wasnt much better all it is, is ada is working with wesker to retrive t-virus sample's for unbrella

Tension/Suspense: or lack of it, the only time this game made me jump in surprise is when I tripped an explosive trap thats it.
most of the time its your run of the mill point and shoot game.
now I know that survival horror games should scare the ever living crap out of you but this game doesnt deliver that. FAIL
if they changed the title and make it its own game I would have loved it, but like i said as a part of the Resident Evil Series IT FAILS.

I see what you're saying, but on the case of Resident Evil 4 it actually says 'Forget "SURVIVAL HORROR". This is Resident Evil refined with more menacing enemies, intuitive controls and intense, action-packed gameplay.'
So in theory with that said, Resident Evil 4 is not a survival horror game.

I agree, re4-5 doesn't scare me, that's why I'm not looking forward to re5 that much..it's just slowly creeping away from the whole "realism" situation, re0-3 was the best because it just felt real, like something like that could actually happen..after that, it just started to become more like a hero fantasy

go back ehre the explosion happened outside the prison and go to the car which exploded.take the suitcase after blowing out the flames!i suppose you have the tool in order to blow out the flame!!!good luck.Oh!And watch out for zombies!!!

i love this game but i had to start it over from the beginning a few times :P
the first time was when i met the frosen boss in the back of the plane,i wasted all my granades on him earlier. Then i had to start it over when i was chris because i didnt know that the black guy would give u a lighter. then i had to start from the beginning when i was on the last boss :P the dragonfly. when i met her i only had the shotgun on me because i had left all the good weapons on claire
