also, about that pole, it's not really in the way and you don't run the risk of hitting it unless you're very tall and your long arms are stretched out (i think that's why people over a certain height aren't allowed on the ride - i forgot the cutoff height though). it looks dangerously close because they both duck at the same time, lol.

i live in abu dhabi & i've been on this on 5th nov .it's true that formula rossa (the ride) doesn't have any sudden drops or turns, but it's more about providing the F1 experience than the stomach-churning thrills of amusement park roller coasters, so speed is its (only) USP. also, the initial speed and acceleration is SO overwhelming that it keeps you buzzing all through the ride till you get off.when it was accelerating, all my senses kinda went numb and all i could see was bright light.
