This is bittersweet to me; I was 7 when my mother died; she visited my aunt not long before, in the late 50s [beboos age is fake on the profile]; things weren't perfect; years later,in my coastal bed, windows open, AM radio on, I listened to this song and almost cried. Memories are funny, aren't they.
Whenever I hear the name "Mel Torme" I think of the TV show Night Court. The character Judge Harold Stone was a huge Mel Torme fan on the show and Mel even made a few appearances on it. The whole thing was funny but when you actually sit down and listen to Mr Torme sing.....his voice is magical !
