It is good that you did your sprays in bursts. Spraying in bursts gives the carrier that the O.C. is mixed in time to evaporate, and be effective. So that means you should spray in short one second burts. However when you do use spray, the trained way to use O.C. is by facing your target, stand with feet apart about shoulder length apart, hold the can in close to your body, and aim for the forhead area just above the subjects eyes. I recommend the stream style, because it will reduce the amount

Do not buy the cone pattern! It is not meant for the inexperienced user. During an attack situation, you most likely will not be checking wind direction when using this in a attack situation. The cone types have a VERY high blow back rate in winds and you will have a very bad day if you are hit. The stream is extremely effective and I highly recommend it.

I have been sprayed with Sabre Red and Fox 5.3. In all honesty they both burn about the same. I don't think the 5.3 is any "hotter".

What against cold steel's Inferno sprays at 8% and 2% black pepper... The scoviles are less, but its supposed to be the most effective, cause of the pepper dust.

After watching this a few more times, I'd agree that the 2oz version is the only one to get. Looked to me like there were really only 4-5 STRONG bursts from the can.

Also, from the videos I've seen, it seems that the stream puts people down considerably more quickly than the spray. With the spray, it seems like they can get off one or two punches before being incapacitated.

The only other spray I'd consider would be the Vexor stuff rated at 15million SHU, but unfortunately, there are hardly any corroborating videos of the stuff in action. Additionally, the consumer version is weaker than the police version, and only available in very small containers of around one half oz. I'd be damned curious to see more real world demos of the stuff. At this point, the only truly reliable stuff seems to be Fox. Btw, my only concern about the spray is wind blowback in my face. :(

You've honestly tested Vexor? ....and found it to be more intense? If so, thanks for the info...as long as you're not getting paid by Fox to say so. :D

As for the stream versus cone spray, I guess it may be more of a psychological thing for me. I see that the stream leaves an evil looking red syrup on your face that looks impossible to get off, while the cone spray looks like it leaves nothing. Like I said, probably just psychological.
