I hate that this doesn't work on my computer. I downloaded everything, part 1 of the mod, part 2 of the mod and the patch, but my computer says: Cant find kingdoms.exe and that is stupid because 2 hours before that i installed the whole medieval gold edition again -.-

Odd, that should have worked, because I bought gold edition, and there was no issues. It could be because you might have installed your Medieval 2 in a different pathway. When you installed the mod, the program went for the normal pathway and you didn't give it the correct pathway. I.E. The file location is not where the installer thinks it is.

Mordor and other ''orcish'' factions got many men, good offense but they lack the defense and the MORALE. i cut theyr generals head and my army 1974 men and theirs 3354 men i lost 22 men and only 6 of their survived. Biggest moral shock ever. their trol catapults only fought back, + my men were exhausted they were ''upstairs'' a mountain.

The elves with gold armor are noldor. I haven't played the mod cause I'm downloading it now, but I can say that gold armor = noldor => they fought in the dagorlad vs sauron and they're the high elves maybe guided by feanor. The helm's deep warrior wear a silver armors + blues capes

the archers really pwn so its not that really strange that u own them, but ofc the difficulty plays a quite big part in the battles but if u play on Very Hard or Easy dosent make that much of a differance, either way the High Elves pwn, Orcs got quantity, Elves got quality.

Every mod has their own thread in a forum somewhere, where you download the mod from usually tells you. Here you can see what you have to do if there is no readme in the folder. Some mod exe files choose the default MTW2 install in the C:\Program Files folder, if you have the game installed elsewhere, you need to change this. If the game is just a folder, create a 'mod' folder in the MTW2 folder and cut/paste the mod folder into it. The mod should have an exe or bat file you double-click on.

All mods for MTW2 Kingdoms go into their own folder. A Folder inside the MTW2 fodler will be created called 'Mods'. All mods load everything into their and then simply call Kingdoms.exe to run the mod's config file. Nothing in the original game is touched. This is the same for all mods like this, so you can have multiple games. I have this, and America's Expanded and AI mods that make the battle and campaign AI better in the Kingdoms campaigns, and none of them affect MTW2/Kingdoms vanilla!

I didnt like the Silvan Elves that much, it takes forever to get good units(silvan heavy sword, bow, spear).High Elves are much much better, and there terain is more open so its easier than woods, thats if you have low quality settings for everything like me. My PC sucks ass, good thing that my rent is going down, now I can get 1 of those Area51 gaming PC's!

Yeah, it took ages to down those trolls. I followed the mod on the forum on and off for a few months, just seen it's finished. How well balanced is at 1.0? As I'd probably be a Silvan player myself, and it just seemed to take severe casualties to down one unit of trolls, regardless of where you hit them. Can't they just storm your archers and wreak havoc?

I'm finding the mod pretty balanced for a first release,,just needs some fine tuning, ranged seems op at times,dwarves are kinda gimped,,one unit of trolls can easily wade through masses of units to wreck havoc with your archers:)..TATW forums have strats on nuking trolls arty can be effective i heard

Thanks for the reply. I donwloaded last night and played far later than I should, and so far so good as the Silvans. I've just hit turn 50 on H/H and I'm yet to see any trolls, thought that might be because I've pushed the OoTMM back into the hills, and the dwarves and High Elves seem to be picking off their smaller groups of reinforcements.

Rohan was gone by turn 35 though, & Gondor is taking a proper pasting at the moment, It's probably the AI but I'd like to see them holding their territory.

The buildings for troll recruitment (at least for Mordor) don't become available for construction until turn 49, and take 6 or so turns to construct. Mordor is ridiculously overpowered, and if you don't want them to collapse too early on, you either need to protect them or play them. A lot of Rohan Player just take Cair Andros and Osgiliath, and that seems to do the job.

It's a job protecting your own lands as Silvan early on for me, let alone protecting anyone else. Units not paid for by upkeep quickly kill what meagre income you can mustre, so I think Rohan and Gondor are pretty much screwed. I think maybe the removal of that Evil Crusade thing would help, 'cos that's what mainly causing it. Havin to fight off a stack from each of the evil races = no hope.

I wouldnt say mordor are overpowered. They are meant to be the strongest faction at the time. Hence why Gondor only won their battles by outside intervention (the cursed spirits at pellenor) and otherwise lost (osgiliath).

Gondor should be able to barely hold their own. What I meant is that Mordor is so powerful that it can steam roll the good factions pretty easy. It makes Gondor pretty fun, but playing Mordor is just an experiment in monotony.
