Also, she can regain some health if you can build up to Level 1 before dying to a simple combo attack. She should have Level 5 energy all the time to even the odds.

The only way I know how to beat Phoenix is to make the player crack under a lot of pressure. The best way to do that is, (assuming the player saved her for last as most Phoenix players tend to do)m, right after you defeat the second character immediately go to the corner you know she's coming in and use assists and keep attacking her using easy attacks that have fast recovery like X-23 or Taskmaster webswing. Even then you might not kill her but it's better than laying down and losing hope.
Dark Phoenix is perfectly balanced. It effectively stops the Phoenix users using Hypers for most of the match, and involves the active participation of the other player to trigger it. If you don't want her to get it, don't kill her when she has 5 bars. Snap and kill her before that, or play for time if you have a big lead.
If the Phoenix player can get around this and beat you normal Phoenix, you probably deserve to lose.

@503leafy And you actually have to have max level for Dark Phoenix to activate. However she does deal double damage and her special bar regenerates twice as fast. On the flip side she still has the lowest hit points in the game and slowly loses health over time, making her health restoring super essential to staying alive.

I always loved the character of Phoenix and now she is going to be on the forefront, which adds some badassery to the game. I actually think the supermode is going to be pretty sweet! Thumbs up if agree.

@zandyyy It automatically activates if you have 5 full hyper bars when she dies. Her health is EXTREMELY POOR (worse than normal), but her power is also extremely buffed (notice the damage that one hyper did on Dante)

Her health is like 450k tho, so adding up both health pools you have about the same as any other character has on their own.

@503leafy And you actually have to have max level for Dark Phoenix to activate. However she does deal double damage and her special bar regenerates twice as fast. On the flip side she still has the lowest hit points in the game and slowly loses health over time, making her health restoring super essential to staying alive.

@ImRichYourPoor first of magneto was facing a weakened galactus let him face galactus at full and you see how easily he falls hell galactus nuked a solar system in one marvel storyline when he got real pissed more power demonstrated than mundus. hell mundus is weaker than mephisto

I always loved the character of Phoenix and now she is going to be on the forefront, which adds some badassery to the game. I actually think the supermode is going to be pretty sweet! Thumbs up if agree.

ok ok guys I need help with something.. skip to the part to where she turns dark phoenix... her health was empty and when he dealt the final blow.. she was fully healed except her hp slowly drained.. soooo... if you have 5 energy bars.. will it do it on its own orrrr will you still have to do the command to transform?

@zandyyy It automatically activates if you have 5 full hyper bars when she dies. Her health is EXTREMELY POOR (worse than normal), but her power is also extremely buffed (notice the damage that one hyper did on Dante)
