  • You shall not pass! :D

  • It was supposed to be Turel in this battle, but unfortunately they had to cut the character from this game. In Soul Reaver 2, close to the ending, when Raziel meets the Sarafan Turel, he says "The vampire Tural escaped from my vengeace. The Sarafan, will not." or something like that. The very first time Raziel meets Turel in his grotesc form is in Defiance. Rumor has it that a future next game from the LoK series will explain how Turel ended up in Arvenus as the vessel for Hash'ak'gik.

  • they drop the 'you shall not pass' a few times throughout the LoK series

  • @quantum460

  • @quantum460 Yeah I believe its the ground. Plus he heavy so the sound will be more soundly.

  • Does any one notice these niggas do the shorty lo dance when they get burnt by sunlight or get dropped in water. Them niggas die like they got a mad case of danruff in their hair.

and looks cool... dressed like a fk moron must be another fucktarded moron that likes rap ...

  • @dskull2000

dont care idiot should know what he is saying

  • @quantum460 probably armored?

  • 1:10 - Disco?

  • Is the Tomb Guardian one of Turel's "children"? They look similar, and they share the same ability, which is telekinesis.

I kind of agree to RealGateGuardian. As the Elder God implies, the "Reaver Bolt" is an ability involving the "manipulation of space", which is what telekinesis is about. The Bolt might be a form of limited telekinesis, later enhanced after consuming/absorbing Turel's soul in Defiance.

  • Reaver Botl is hte wrong name. He gains Telekensis.

  • No, he doesn't - not until Defiance does he gain true telekinesis.

  • Yes he does. In Defiance he gains Enhanced Telekensis. Just like Kain has in Defiance.

  • I can't find the SR1 manual at the moment, but the SR2 manual simply refers to it as the "Reaver projectile". The word 'telekinesis' is never used until Defiance, at which point I'm somewhat convinced it's only used because it's simpler to say Raziel has "TK" from the start than to try to explain two different mechanics. Even in the beginning of Defiance, he can't actually manipulate anything with it, he can only shoot a projectile, same as in the first two games featuring him.

  • It's a weaker form of Telekensis, they retconned it in Defiance, changing the name. However, generally even at the time SR was brand spankin' new, it was still called Telekenesis by many.

When he absorbed Turels' soul in the original script, Elder God even says "You're Telekenetic abilites have been enhanced" or something like that. I don't remember the exact wording, but he does say telekenetic.

  • Yes - in Defiance, it's definitely called telekinesis, I'm not arguing that point - but in SR1, which this is a video of, it is not - it's merely described as "kinetic energy" ("kinetic energy" and "telekinesis" are two entirely different things). 'Reaver Bolt' or 'Reaver Projectile' are used much more frequently to describe the SR1 / SR2 version than 'telekinesis' is.

  • It could be argued that Raziel gains telekinesis here (as the Elder God says he's gained 'the power to compress and manipulate space', but if that's the case, he never actually uses it until Defiance (which is the first time we see him making use of it without using the Reaver) - the two abilities are seperate, as evidenced by the Elder God's mention that the Reaver has also gained this ability - and it's the Reaver's ability that Raziel makes use of (or he wouldn't need the reaver to use it).

  • Once could argue that he gains a limited form of telekinesis like Kain did in Blood Omen 2 just the ability to shoot telekinetic bolts rather than true manipulation of objects like he has later.

  • One could argue that - but I will maintain my argument that 'Reaver Bolt' is a perfectly acceptable (and widely accepted) terminology for what Raziel gains in this particular cutscene. :) If it'd make you feel better, I can change the title to 'Raziel gains the Reaver Bolt (and limited Telekinesis)". :)

  • Oh no i wasn't saying that I was attempting to reach a compromise I was supposed to go on to say that when he has the Soul Reaver out the bolt becomes infused with the Reaver's energy and becomes more awesome

  • "kinetic energy and telekinesis are two entirely different things"

Don't you require kinetic energy to perform telekinesis? :P

  • Kinetic energy is the energy inherent in moving objects. Telekinesis is (commonly described as) moving things with one's mind - so technically speaking, telekinesis creates kinetic energy. But kinetic energy is related to telekinesis in the same way that, for example, brushing your teeth or taking a shit is.

  • Elder God described that Raziel can use kinetic energy to move or "strike objects", but the kinetic energy that you're describing is produced by the object moved, not Raziel. Also, real-life physics' kinetic energy cannot be "projected". :P

You shouldn't try to apply (most of) real-life physics to the Legacy of Kain universe. Try do so, and a LOT of things will be confusing. Believe me, 'cuz I've tried that before (being a person who likes realism or realistic stuff in games/movies and all)

  • omfg rape lol

  • uber ownage O_o..... the only boss in the game that raziel can actually defeat with his claws... >.>

  • were war that?

  • jesus christ you owned him!

  • I once tossed that guy into the niche Raziel is standing in at the beginning of the cutscene. That was fun. D:

  • That seemed Easy, just like a Normal Enemy. LOLZOR.

  • easiest boss ever lol

  • Marlock reminds me of some kind of evil bugs bunny :P

its the beast with the gayest look lol

  • That is not Turel, but Morlock indeed, I thought it was Turel as well, but he´s not in the game, nor his clan territory...I always killed Morlock with the Soul Reaver.

  • the lighthouse near zephon's clan is turel's turf.

  • It would of been if it hadn't been for deadlines

  • no turels clans is not on the game. the light house is just a gliph

  • I do believe the creatures you see in the game that look just like Morlock are Turelim. Morlock himself bears Turel's symbol on the back of his neck. I can only imagine that the others do as well... But this is mostly guessing because I was too afraid to let them live long enough to check for the mark. lol.

  • yes they u meet Turel in Defiance

  • First its Marlock not morlock.

Seconed its a vampire from the Turelim clan

  • it is MORLOCK.check blincoln´s site

  • turel was so easy

  • Either ur very good or that guy was fuckin easy lol.

  • Yeah, sorta like the second in command of the Turelim. I can't quite remember his name, but I think it was Marek (no, not Malek from Blood Omen).

  • Close...Morlock.

The funny thing was that people who played Soul Reaver and not Blood Omen thought that he was Malek.

    Silly

  • that thing was one of turels army right?

  • that beast got pwned, lol

  • It's the force projectile attack lol

  • yeah, kill that monster with the funny ears òo xD
