you all have my respect, i have a k9 too, mine is from a pet asyl. i've been a specialist in the german army. but now i must take my duty as a securty office, because i'm a male, and my trained K9 is just at home, because our customer dont pay for his services. And again JUST RESPECT!!!!!!!!!

The creation of this video was a very emotional one for me; I cried for many hours while searching for the right pictures and music. Even now I have a hard time watching it again; I can only imagine what pain the families of all of our soldiers go through on a daily basis. This video was a tiny way that I could bring honor to them. Thanks to all of you that have posted such nice comments. It was never my intention to leave out or offend anyone. (Continued) I put together pictures I had been given, some I had taken and others gathered from the internet. These are the only pictures I had access to, and did not intentionally leave out anyone or any country. I realize many countries have lost soldiers. I included the most recently killed handlers at the time and unfortunately others have died since this was made. Of course all of these handlers were not buried at Arlington; I didn't intend to lead anyone to believe that.

I was part of a group that raised money to construction a Working Dog Memorial at The Air Force Armament Museum at Eglin Air Force Base, Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Skibo, I remember every day, in more ways than you can imagine. Peopl fail to remember the K9s are soldiers too. Did you know deaths would be higher without our K9 soldiers? They alert us, humans, of danger lurking by, explosive devices, etc. And I do remember both K9 and soldiers every day-for I mourn a K9 unit whom died while trying to disarm an ied that the k9 soldier alerted them to.

I love my 7 German Shepherds. They are the smartest of God's creatures. I have made it a "must" to start a GSD rescue this year. I have already rescued at least 20 and I am appalled that a person can raise one of these intelligent, loving, and loyal companions and not even try to find them if they get out of their home and end up in the kill shelter. For the price of a couple of steak house dinners you can save and adopt one of these magnificent souls from the animal shelters.

It is a great tribute and salute to both our two legged and four legged soldiers. However Rick, it is quite interesting that you say your wife made this at Arlington due to the fact I know one team is not burried there. How I know? Because I personally mourn the loss.

For the people that asked, my wife made this video. I was an Air Force K9 handler/trainer at Eglin AFB, FL. She was involved with the construction of a Working Dog Memorial at Eglin. She became very good friends with the families of some of the fallen K9 handlers. She was invited to a reception at the White House honoring Military Spouse Volunteers. She visited Arlington while she was there.

I met Lex after he was injured and sent back to the US, the day I saw him he literally stole a piece of my heart, may he live a long and spoiled life with the Lee family! I love and miss you Lex!

Working Dogs, the latest use of War Dogs. My videos cover Scout Dogs, Sentry Dogs. Mine and Booby-Trap Dogs and Marijuana Dogs. After Vietnam, the branches chose War Dogs. Maybe someday, we can all be unified under one title. I had to search through a lot of videos until I came across this one and will add it to my favorites to get some of my Vietnam buddies up to date on the new terminology. A very well executed video.
