It is for sure A REAL UFO! Why? because in Aug 2006 ive seen the same black sigar shaped ufo for several minutes. first i saw a lightball shinning above a plane high in the shiny daylight sky for 3 minutes, then it disapeared in 2 seconds and at the same spot this cigar shaped ufo appeared. WHAT? YES! I could not believe my eyes, it stayed also stationair, and 4 minutes later disappeared in 2 seconds in nothing! just a blue sky! WOW! This looks similar to the one witnessed recently over an airport in China, only that one was filmed at night and had a bright light bar on the bottom that was illuminating the ground below.
I had a similar experience on May 2th 2010, I saw a bright light coming from the sky and looked with binoculars and found the same kind of extraterrestrial ship (it is not UFO for me). I was very inclined to accept it as a ballon of some kind but it was conected with another one of same apearance and a light dot was orbiting around it very fast, when they disconected the small ilght disapeared, after about 1 hour a new ship came by it was like a black cone that disapeared in seconds.
well i must say i will believe this guy did see that in the sky. But there is no way im saying that its a ufo. Its a black rod shaped thing floating in the sky, could be anything.

It was in one spot, not moving, although the object was going upside down, round and round very slowly. I would also like to say that an easyjet plane went very close to it, and it was as big if not bigger than the plane. I would have loved to see if the passengers on that plane saw it as it would have been difficult to miss. The object was in my opinion using energy not from this planet but another because i couldnt see how it would stay in the sky like it did using the energy we are familiar..
Oh and i would also like to point out...Gary Mckinnon who is being extrodited to the US described this object in the sky in an interview in what he saw on US military files. A cigar shapped object that uses anti gravitational energy, which should be widely available to the public but is not due to the capatilist system we live in. Omg! was this last year!? i recorded this at my boyfriends house on his mums camera. it's a wind sock thing or something very damn similar. I was talking to somebody else and they confirmed that something had escapes from somewhere i think i seem to remember. sorry i cant be more help, but it had our whole house watching it. The wierdest thing is the wind-sock thing (or the similar object) changed shape because of the wind and i was like woah!
thanks 4 your comment, it was really strange at the time we had no idea what it was back then but people have been saying that it was a solar balloon. the funny thing is that up until a few months ago i only had about 4000 views, then all of a sudden i was about 10,000 a day due to the media news groups spotting my video & i had e-mails phone calls and comments from all kinds of different people.

thankyou for your comment, you have to understand that when i filmed this, i had to use the full zoom to 100% and when trying to film something this far away at such a great zoom, you will find that any movement, even the slightest movement will make the object appear very erratic. bare in mind that i did not have time to adjust the settings as i did not know how long the object was going to remain there for.... my tripod was in the car but my keys were not on me at the time,

It would appear to me that it most probably was a Solar Balloon, Would GannyVids care to comment more about what her gut feeling on this is ? looking at all the comments i have had about solar balloons has made me look into them. I have also watched quite a few that have been posted on youtube, most of them appear 2 be very different to what i saw.
they seemed 2 be very bendy and not very solid looking, but saying that there were a couple that did look very similar.
As i have said in the description of the video, it is what i call a U.F.O. At the time i saw it i had no idea what 2 call it

Its a panel of plexy glass with something like a battery stuck to it. Held by the cameramans other hand, thats why its so shaky. Never in focus with anything else in the frame.

What rubbish, MauiNion! This was witnessed by loads of people and as CyberCiliPudi pointed out it's a Giant Solar Airship from Argos which self inflates to 8 metres in length with the heat of the sun.

There have been several UFO sightings at Brean Down over the years.
For anyone who does not know the area, there is a Military Fort on Brean Down built in 1864 - 1871 to protect the Bristol Channel and defend the United Kingdom from the French Army and Napolean lll.
It was also used in World War ll.
In recent years the area has been used for weapons testing.
This is believed to be the reason for the possible UFO activity.

Very good video. If you see anything weird again in the sky, put your camera on manual focus and focus the lens to infinity. That way, it will be sharp, in focus. The camera is trying to find something to focus on and cant see it, this is why the focus is going in and out. Very good video, however. Thanks for posting.

'Cigar-shaped UFOs', as they are called, have been filmed throughout recent decades, thanks to the video camera. Some famous pieces of footage are that of a sighting in Krasnador, Russia, in the 1980s as well as that filmed by Russian cosmonauts in Space, also in the 1980s, if I remember well.

This makes one think of the number of videos and photographs that exist and that have not been shared with the public. Thanks again for sharing this. i am happy that you enjoyed this video, i was lucky to get it on video at all as i could not find the key to my caravan where the camera was at the time. also, when i had recorded it, i put the d.v.d into our player in the caravan and kept on playing it and rewinding it as i could not believe my eyes. then when i got home, i realised that the disk had been scratched and it would not upload to my computer, but eventually it did, thank god....
Looks almost identical to one I witnessed in 1978 sitting perfectly still in the air about one mile above the A11 in Norfolk close to the Army research base. That one looked like a perfectly polished stainless steel cylinder, no windows,flaps,wings,and no visible back or front- just a long cigar shape. It disappeared after ten minutes. I would estimate about the best part of one mile in length.
I'm not discounting what you filmed, but you might want to do a Google search for Hyper Blimp. It looks very similar to what you will see. Another object similar to this was filmed over Salt Lake City last year.

just recently i was looking all over the internet for this similar shape and yes i came across these "solar balloons" so i purchased one. it took me weeks to get it to fly as you need very still weather with no clouds. i let it go into the air when eventualy it did fly. i used my binococulars to see how it looked when it was far away and it looked nothing like what i saw that day. it looked very creased and very black...
If you look at the unclassified Soviet era UFO footage there is a clip of a MIG chasing an exact same cylindrical UFO which later just speeds off at ridiculous speeds , this is one of those
BTW those posting that this is one of those solar balloons - I have also seen this same object over Somerset, and I can assure you that what I saw was not a solar balloon - I observed said object for at least 15 minutes until it eventually just disappeared into thin air! what you have said is right, i have no idea what it was, it is like i have said before, when i looked at it through my dads binoculars, the object seemed to be metalic silver in colour.
Classic solar balloon as many have pointed out. Do an Internet search for them and see how big the cylinder shaped ones can get. Between Chinese Lanterns and Solar Balloons people can be easily tricked by what they are witnessing. If you have never seen one before then of course it is going to be puzzling.
I think you are spot on TEEEEEEEEJ. I saw one at Glastonbury not too far away from Brean 2 or 3 years ago. After observing it for about 15 mins i was sure i was looking at a balloon of some sort ;o)

Here's my opinion on time considered the 4th dimension: rubbish. Time is not a spatial abstract. It doesn' have a physical presence. It is certaintly correlated to mass and energy but it exists inside of dimensions and is not one in itself.
If you believe in M theory or string theory, time exists due to movement (which is energy). It is not movement by itself and exists on the interaction of mass and relative positions of one energy or another.
Here's my opinion on time considered the12th dimension: absurd. Time can't be put in a bottle. Time and tide wait for no man. There's no time like the present. Time and again, this time it's personal, and love's not time's fool, tho' rosey lips and cheeks within his bending sickles compass comes.

It resembles a high altitude observation balloon payload but what is odd about this clip is the way the autofocus is pulling, which indicates the object is much closer to the camera than infinity, much much closer to cause the autofocus to wander like that trying to track it against the background.
An object or living being that exists in 4 dimensions would appear to us as only a shadow of itself. Some say that's what paranormal is, ghosts and stuff. Some scientists say these Rods are objects that are in the 4th dimension and when they intersect our 3 dimensional world, we only see a sliver of what they really are. Like if you lived in a flat geometry of 2 dimensions and someone passed a 3d sphere through it. You wouldn't see a sphere, but you'd see a flat disk instead. Make sense?
Understanding the 4th dimensions is like getting a fish to imagine what being on the moon is when you're lucky if it understands a world outside water, much less outside earth. Human experience is based on 3 dimensions X Y and Z. Basically movements in space up down side to side and diagnolly.
A 4th dimension does not enter our perceptions but it's definitely there. It's a measurement of time/space (some postulate) that DOES exist but the human brain cannot perceive it.

Hello Grannyvids, firstly, i saw the same thing on the same day, unfortunatly i only had my phone, so the video was poor. It was the day before weston pier caught on fire, not that it has anything to do with it. I am fanatical about ufos, and i wondered if you could also send me a copy through its original form through email. I live in Burnham on sea, but work in Brean and thats one of the most interesting things i have ever seen as i am very interested in UFOs anyway. Did you notice that.......
the UFO was in the same place the whole time, without any sound, but circulating, as i thought this was quite stange, and did you also notice that an easyjet plane went very very close to it, if the easyjet plane come out of Bristol it would have been the flight to Madrid, as i checked the times on teletext when i got home, so those people on that plane would have seen it clearly so i was going to ring Bristol airport to see if air control picked anything stange up, i am sure it was a plane.....

Looks pretty real. That's a "ROD" one of the most commonly spotted UFOs. Do some research on them. There's a vid on youtube that shows you how to set up a camera facing the sun (but shadowed by a roof or something)that makes it possible to capture them on tape. Current scientists imagine that they are 4th dimension objects intersecting our 3-dimension plane.
unfortunatly this is all i have of the ufo, i had to stop filming as i wanted to see it through my dad's binoculars and after that it just disapeared.. sorry!

Omg! was this last year!? i recorded this at my boyfriends house on his mums camera. it's a wind sock thing or something very damn similar. I was talking to somebody else and they confirmed that something had escapes from somewhere i think i seem to remember. sorry i cant be more help, but it had our whole house watching it. The wierdest thing is the wind-sock thing (or the similar object) changed shape because of the wind and i was like woah!

thanks 4 your comment, it was really strange at the time we had no idea what it was back then but people have been saying that it was a solar balloon. the funny thing is that up until a few months ago i only had about 4000 views, then all of a sudden i was about 10,000 a day due to the media news groups spotting my video & i had e-mails phone calls and comments from all kinds of different people.

thankyou for your comment, you have to understand that when i filmed this, i had to use the full zoom to 100% and when trying to film something this far away at such a great zoom, you will find that any movement, even the slightest movement will make the object appear very erratic. bare in mind that i did not have time to adjust the settings as i did not know how long the object was going to remain there for.... my tripod was in the car but my keys were not on me at the time,

1.) The U.S. Government has multiple stations strategically placed around the world
H.A.A.R.P. Stations (for the purpose of global weather control) could possibly be a probe having something to do with that ?!?!?

Hi folks. I was the chap quoted by the Sun Newspaper regarding this sighting. After doing a bit of checking and speaking to several people. It would appear to me that it most probably was a Solar Balloon, Would GannyVids care to comment more about what her gut feeling on this is ? looking at all the comments i have had about solar balloons has made me look into them. I have also watched quite a few that have been posted on youtube, most of them appear 2 be very different to what i saw.
they seemed 2 be very bendy and not very solid looking, but saying that there were a couple that did look very similar.
As i have said in the description of the video, it is what i call a U.F.O. At the time i saw it i had no idea what 2 call it

Obviously it is what is known as a Sky Tube. these have been mistaken for skygars or sky cigars ....you will see more of these in the future. It's interesting how the UK and Mexico seem to have more UFO sightings than anywhere else.

I call bullsht on this one...
Its a panel of plexy glass with something like a battery stuck to it. Held by the cameramans other hand, thats why its so shaky. Never in focus with anything else in the frame.

I live a few minutes from Brean.
There have been several UFO sightings at Brean Down over the years.
For anyone who does not know the area, there is a Military Fort on Brean Down built in 1864 - 1871 to protect the Bristol Channel and defend the United Kingdom from the French Army and Napolean lll.
It was also used in World War ll.
In recent years the area has been used for weapons testing.
This is believed to be the reason for the possible UFO activity.

Very good video. If you see anything weird again in the sky, put your camera on manual focus and focus the lens to infinity. That way, it will be sharp, in focus. The camera is trying to find something to focus on and cant see it, this is why the focus is going in and out. Very good video, however. Thanks for posting.

'Cigar-shaped UFOs', as they are called, have been filmed throughout recent decades, thanks to the video camera. Some famous pieces of footage are that of a sighting in Krasnador, Russia, in the 1980s as well as that filmed by Russian cosmonauts in Space, also in the 1980s, if I remember well.

Looks almost identical to one I witnessed in 1978 sitting perfectly still in the air about one mile above the A11 in Norfolk close to the Army research base. That one looked like a perfectly polished stainless steel cylinder, no windows,flaps,wings,and no visible back or front- just a long cigar shape. It disappeared after ten minutes. I would estimate about the best part of one mile in length.
This looks very similar.

Classic solar balloon as many have pointed out. Do an Internet search for them and see how big the cylinder shaped ones can get. Between Chinese Lanterns and Solar Balloons people can be easily tricked by what they are witnessing. If you have never seen one before then of course it is going to be puzzling.

Here's my opinion on time considered the 4th dimension: rubbish. Time is not a spatial abstract. It doesn' have a physical presence. It is certaintly correlated to mass and energy but it exists inside of dimensions and is not one in itself.
If you believe in M theory or string theory, time exists due to movement (which is energy). It is not movement by itself and exists on the interaction of mass and relative positions of one energy or another.

It resembles a high altitude observation balloon payload but what is odd about this clip is the way the autofocus is pulling, which indicates the object is much closer to the camera than infinity, much much closer to cause the autofocus to wander like that trying to track it against the background.

Understanding the 4th dimensions is like getting a fish to imagine what being on the moon is when you're lucky if it understands a world outside water, much less outside earth. Human experience is based on 3 dimensions X Y and Z. Basically movements in space up down side to side and diagnolly.
A 4th dimension does not enter our perceptions but it's definitely there. It's a measurement of time/space (some postulate) that DOES exist but the human brain cannot perceive it.

the UFO was in the same place the whole time, without any sound, but circulating, as i thought this was quite stange, and did you also notice that an easyjet plane went very very close to it, if the easyjet plane come out of Bristol it would have been the flight to Madrid, as i checked the times on teletext when i got home, so those people on that plane would have seen it clearly so i was going to ring Bristol airport to see if air control picked anything stange up, i am sure it was a plane.....

Looks pretty real. That's a "ROD" one of the most commonly spotted UFOs. Do some research on them. There's a vid on youtube that shows you how to set up a camera facing the sun (but shadowed by a roof or something)that makes it possible to capture them on tape. Current scientists imagine that they are 4th dimension objects intersecting our 3-dimension plane.
