Just replace Carolina " with "cocaine " and I think that gets the gist of it. Loved this song in my misspent youth. That damn Carolina, the girl kept me up all night.
Check out a guy named Deford Bailey. He was an early COUNTRY harp player. A different style of playing, to be sure. But you gotta hear Davison County Blues. There's music on every inhale and exhale. Outstanding piece, IMO. BTW, he was the first BLACK installed as a member of the Grand Ol' Opry.
@carcariden Please do check him out my friend, you won't be dissapointed. Paul Butterfield is also another great harp player. So is Rolly Fingers, the harp player for Jimmy Buffets Coral Reefer Band.
@Orangebike666 It's a harmonica solo at first, then when you hear the chord change at 2:51 (the time in the song) the guitar player starts his solo, and the harmonica ends................It is not a dumb question,The only dumb questions are the ones that aren't asked. :D

They all did a really good job at making this sound unique. It's really easy to play blues, but pretty damn difficult to make it sound original.
