  • Ohhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Superb. Beginning at 2:00 is one of the most beautiful passages of Baroque vocal music imaginable, helped, of course, by William Christie and his excellent group. Recording engineers; top marks.

  • Bravi! Many thanks!

  • Qu'il est beau Nicholas lorsqu'il chante !

  • Un peu nerveux le Rivenq.

  • je ne me lasserai jamais d'ecouter rameau.....c'est divinement beau

  • Rameau n'est définitivement pas religieux, et ses contributions avec Voltaire le prouvent, et encore plus cette musique, qui bien que son texte est religieux, sa musique ne l'est point!

  • I love the Christie Rameau "Les Grands Motets". Thanks for posting. I'd never seen Mr. Rivenq and Miss Daneman performing live.

  • OHH MY GOD!!!!!!

    Excellent...

  • The standardized pronunciation of Latin is a product of the early 20th c. Earlier, countries pronounced it in the same way they pronounced their own languages. That tradition continues in English courts and legislatures, for example.

  • Magnifique musique qui vous éléve l'ame.

Et la qualité de son est vraiment trés bonne, mes oreilles vous remercient.

  • This French pronunciation of Latin is really infernal -- my ears cannot accept it :-). Fortunately this music is so beautiful, that I can close both my eyes and say: It's great! :-)

  • Diabolus in musica... The ramist pronunciation is... weird ! It was the greatest sin one could perpetrate for my professors the days I was taught Cicero's language.

  • @l000kin There is an historical reason for the french pronunciation of Latin. Louis XIV turned against Pop because as an absolute monarch, he desired to govern french Church and choose himself archbishop, bishop or even priest. So he separated french Catholic church from the Pop power to create a Gallican church. This church preserved Catholic rites but with french traditions. Despite the end of monarchy, the Gallican church always exists today in France.

  • @frenchiecocorico1 Thank you. Great information.

  • Magnifique ! :-)
