  • Michael and Melanie at their best. I remember watching Fridays just to see these skits.

  • Dude... I remember loving this when I saw it on TV, and still love it. Thanx

  • and i thought i was crazy!

  • I thought I'd never see this again. Thanks for posting.

  • Me & my brther used to do the same thing, even with firecrackers, used HO gauge army men though. & mom would theaten us too! "Wait till your father gets home! You're gonna get it!

  • the first fire burns the whole time right next to the gas unit on the house.....priceless

  • Michale Richards back when he was actually funny.

  • Does anyone have the one were the puppet was a interviewing Bill Cosby.....think the puppets name was Little Freddy......

  • can anyone post a copy of when king crimson appeared on this show, cant seem to find it anywhere. i saw michael wandering around the house of blues when king crimson played there about ten years ago. so what if hes a racist hes still fuckin hilarious!

  • this was an "AMAZING" show w/ great Musical guests! =o]

  • i dont see why he would be degraded because of one bad comment

    Michael is still funny

  • 25 yaers it still makes me laugh my ass of thank thank you for putting this on here.... ive waited years to see this lol freaking funny omg

  • Battle Boy was my all time favorite!!!

  • i loved watching Fridays when i was a teenager and this was my favorite skit from the show...............cool to see it again lol

  • funny funny duuuuuuuuuuuh screw you all lame ppl =S hell heeeellll may u rest in hell ass pain

  • Loved 'Fridays'! It was an SNL clone but it had a few memorable characters like this one. This was 10 years before becoming 'Kramer' and I knew then he was brilliant!

  • I liked the show better than SNL because of those certain characters.

  • maybe hes a racist but hes still funny as shit...get over it.

  • That was so funny!!!!!

  • "You put that damn fire out!"

Ah, if I had a nickle for every time I heard that.

  • I grew up in the 70's and was very forgiving with Richards' racial "mistake" but who said the n-word? Eff, you did.

Richards and Chartoff are pure geniuses, and if you can't understand, then you need to be buried in a cave for 20 years before you get it.

  • wow, sounds like your just as bad as he is, so whats your point? try getting over yourself already...

  • nobody believes me when i tell them about this show; now i have proof; thanks for posting.

  • That's so funny. I remember battle boy from the 70's. My brother and I nearly peed ourselves with laughter. I had no idea it was Michael Richards until the Seinfeld dvds cam out.

  • "Let's go get some ammunition"

How many backyard army man battles started with that line?

When you get to be my age that means somebody needs to make a beer run!

  • Thank you. I was beginning to wonder if seeing

this on tv was just a dream. I used to kill my

    army men with my dinosaurs.

  • thanks for the memories, I had such a crush on Melanie Chartoff...shame Michael Richards has turned into such a pretentious asshole...

  • I'm surprised Richards didn't get burned from playing with all that fire. And who played the mom who yelled at him in the end? (the little girl is Melanie Chartoff, that I know)

  • "Mom" is being played (I think) by Maryedith Burrell.

  • One of my favorites. I don't know why Michael Richards won't release the rights to be rebroadcast or on DVD's. He can make quite a bit of money.

  • I have been looking for these...It seemed to me..NObody remember them...I loved Fridays!!

  • One of the funniest skits during Fridays run, the show was hilarious I looked forward to it every weekend, between Fridays late night Friday, and SCTV late night Saturdays the early 80s were heaven for comedy.

  • I wish Friday's was for sale on dvd. I heard that they need Michael Richards approval to be released. I don't know why he won't. I started watching Seinfeld because I heard Michael was on the show and I remembered how funny he was on Friday's.

  • rofl at 3:27

  • lol lol

  • It was BATTLE BOY austinstein. Only one of the best bits on Fridays' I hope someone posts more of them.

  • Fridays smokes Mad.......

  • Yes, but its a fake gas meter. Loved Fridays.

  • This bit was called "Combat Kid", not " Battle Boy"...thanx fer posting

  • I thought Fridays had gone from TV forever. Glad to see some of the original skits! Definitely had an LA style to it.

  • that was some funny shit. Anyways last time i checked its not illegal to call somebody a nigger... at least not in a free country (AKA america). first amendment = fuck you, second amendment = die. all you lemmings are the same scum who used to hunt "witches" in puritan times trying to prove you are holier than thou. go fucking kill yourselves you waste of flesh.

  • sounds like someone has doody in his pants...

  • I saw this, years and years ago. The funniest part has been cut out for some reason. There's supposed to be another part where he starts yelling racial slurs at the girl. I guess it's just not hip anymore in this ultra-PC environment.

  • Did you notice the fire is right near that gas meter?

  • LOL...the best clip on YouTube!

  • a very smart person pointed me to

your video -- it sure looks like

what he -- and i -- thought of, when

george w. bush said last week:

    "i am the commander guy. . ."

so i featured yours on my blog!

    thanks -- a great memory!

kinda' sad, tho' -- that it echoes 2007 reality. . .

  • I used this skit 2 break in a new priest teaching religion jr yr of HS. Becoming "Battle Boy" everytime I was near him would either drive him nuts or keep him away from me. He deemed me retarded and all my work was simple. Friends still LOL about this great SCAM.

  • I still love him. He just needs to get his head straightened out.

  • Its too bad someone so talented can be filled with so much hatred :(

  • You know, I didn't really interpret his rant as being racist.

  • hes the classic "talented but troubled" kind of guy

  • I can't believe that you believe that he's racist.

Look, the guy was really rusty at doing standup, he tried to improv at some loud heckler, and the thing totally blew up in his face.

  • his rants about "n*****" didnt seem like a joke

  • Well, so does Chris Rock. What's the difference?

    Oh, I see...........

  • the difference is in the tone...you can tell when Chris rock is kidding around. With Richards, you could totally tell he was pissed and was showing his true colors.

  • This was easily one of my favorite clips from Fridays! Thanks for sharing!

  • SO GREAT!!!!

  • cool
