I don't think what the guy says is 100% right. Brent was with a band called "Dreve", but Atlantic only signed Brent to a developmental deal and was allowed to find a band to go around him. That band became Shinedown.

That's why I didn't understand people worrying about the band when Brad and Jasin left because the band is built around Brent and his voice, not specific musicians.
