  • i'm a starter and i always end up braking in front of the ruts to make sure my front wheel doesn't flip to the left or the right. I ussually end up going trough them at a slow speed and almost crashing every time :)

  • 60p

  • ruts are so easy

  • that guys a dum ass putting your leg out isnt for keeping you up thats how you break ankles its to help with balance

  • Wish I had of watched this BEFORE I went riding last weekend, lol!!

  • GREAT VIDEO! SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD TEACHER! :) THANKS....KEEP IT UP!

  • can someone help me!? when ever i do a rut thats like a U takes you all the way around and spits you out the opposite way you came. do you roll the throttle on right when you drop in to the rut or do you cruse with the clutch in half way arounfd then gas it> cause every time i gas it right when i drop in it either shoots me out of the rut halfway or my bike is leaned like a mofo and im catching footpegs and my inside foot is draging on the ground really hard so what do i do

  • @dgkmonst Hopefully this one might help you out, search for out tip on Rutts (with 2 t's!)

  • @dgkmonst cruse through the first half of the rut and the gas it wen ure on the second half. learn this slow before you speed up.

  • @dgkmonst coast in the rut using the clutch about halfway then roll on the trottle. dont open it all the way up all at once

  • you never really want to cut off the gas completely in a rut, this usually causes the bike to want to pop out of the rut, I personally drag the front brake through almost the whole corner, meaning I hold the front brake in about half way and keep the gas on, causing more weight to be put on the front wheel which in turn gives more traction, which allows you to stay planted in the rut for as long as you need to..

  • That tip about the ruler, wow, "letting the bike follow the rut" never really sank in until you gave me that metaphor, thank you so much!

  • everybody has their own riding style so do whatever works

  • should you be coating through it or if not how much throttle should be put on DURING the turn?

  • thanks I will try It, But my friend he has drive ama supercross and he sayes we gonna sit down in the middle of the rut then trottle so you get a nice rut:)

  • i found this useful but im a goon haha

  • So all you really have to do is come in looking at the rut, then just lean into it and roll on the throttle?

  • thanks alot. great tips. :)

  • This guy makes the best videos.

  • thanks mate.

  • were is that track is in in QLD

  • great stuff hoags!

  • great video and all, but i think another thing that REALLY helps oot threw a rut, is look ahead, or if you can to the end of the rut, made me lay it down more which allowed me to go threw the ruts faster, learned that during figure 8's. keep up the good work!

  • @ktmshane509 yeah looking ahead works really well
