Wouldn't the all metal frame pose a shock hazard???

what about the transient voltages from the filter capacitor when its plugged in or unplugged? I can't imagine they had too many safety devices built in the AC adapter back then... Or does the recharger use a different configuration than a standard transformer-rectifier-filter?

I really enjoyed your video...I have the other version of this radio in the original leather case with the charger too. Your descrption of the model I have was incorrect in only one detail. The tartan design is on the speaker grille not around the dial. The area that is beige around the dial on yours is black on the model I have...PAT COFFEY
