I noticed near the end that yer daughter was turning the screwdriver the wrong way on the Fernco... tell her: "Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey" and she'll never forget! good job! and yeah, watch that leg on that grinder! There's some big arteries and veins in that leg... cut you down in a New York minute if ya ain't careful! Any reason you don't use the chain cutter for the cast pipe?
@jeffpicks LOL. You are old School. I don't think my daughter notice she was going the wrong way with the cam in her face. but she really is a good little Plumber. And by the way I cut the I didn't use the snap cutters because on old pipes like that you can crush them with the snap cutters some times. This way I feel safe not crushing the pipe. Thanks for asking and thank you the comment. I'll let my daughter know :-)
@Tex200950 Most of the piping in the ditch is 4" Only the pipe running to the left in the ditch is 3" and it is going to catch the laundry, Above the ground 4" up to the Clean out and then reduce to 3" to catch two full bath on the next floor. and 3" out through the roof. There is another bath in the home that has 4" out through the roof.
@darthmal I do understand. There are areas that will allow the home owner to do there own plumbing with a home owner permit and they will help you with the code, and they may also give you a little home owners plumbing exam. Just call your City Hall and get more info. Thank you for the comment.
I rented a big Bosch Jackhammer to do the same thing. I used the square attatchment to cut around the perimeter then chopped the inside area up so I could carry it out. I did it in one hour.. I still have to take the big blocks away. The thickness varuied from 3" to about 6" thick.
This lady was Lucky. didn't cost her that much. It was my older sister :-) .....Well you know the rest of the story. Trade off I get to keep living and she gets are bathroom in the basement. Even Steven LoL! Again thanks for the nice compliment. Have a great day
Your right. But some times this are the things that make our job risky at times. No job is with out hazards. Also this was the best angle I could get for the cam. Thanks for your concern.
Dude never put a body part near a tool that can cause you injury, cutter could jamb up and jump out of cutting path and rip u up also I have seen these cutting disc blow appart and that too would rip u up. Nice work and thats good to see your daughter interested, My two daughters help me all the time as well. Be safe!
Great job!

I agree in chicago they'll give you a permit after a lot of headaches. Then they'll send an inspector
to make sure your guy is "ligit". Then they'll mess you up during tax season ratting you out
with the assessors office because you upgraded your house. I agree-fuckem and do it.
