  • What kind of shampoo can I use? I need help! Reply and tell me please! It would mean alot! Thanks :)

  • im posotive this is m y cousins channel and you can bathe a rabbit and the soap is from when she or her boyfriend bathed therabbit so people stop with the hate comments like really dont put hate comments its stupid and inmature

  • is this bad?? i was watchin this with my rabbit and was alike awww the whole time then she bit me and thumped me

  • whats wrong with its foot?

  • Guys it's baby shampoo chill out for god sakes stfu I used to be a vet tech u were nt shut up

  • omg ur not supposed to put soap in the water and ur only supposed to give a rabbit a bath if it has a dirt bottom and a baby bunny that old should nto have a bath!!!! sheesh

  • my bunny poops allot when she takes a shower

  • I wonder exactly HOW all these animals keep clean in the wild??

Something tells me their dumb owners haven't realized they can clean themselves without any water or some stupid bath.

And what kind of a stupid name is "Smurfette" for a rabbit??

    Troglodyte fool.

  • @WASPTexas Wow you really shouldn't be saying anything its what the owner wanted to name him so its really stupid how your being really retorted about a name of a rabbit. I named my bunny Bajinggles you may not like the name but i LOVE it. Ever thought of that. Sorry for not pleasing you in naming bunnies. And what if the vet told the owner to take it a shower?! You should really learn to STFU! Stupid ass people -.- Btw i don't care on what your gonna write to me.

  • @WASPTexas maybe it needed one and the owner probably liked that nama so who are you to say it's a stupid name!!!!! just shut up!!!

  • lol !!! she's so cute !!!

  • O.o its soap whater is it ok that she licks herself? i usually stop mine from licking unless i know tis clear water! but bunnies are not as sensitive as they want us to think, a bath wont harm unless its winter and you put it wet in a cold environment! :)

  • guys, it just water. get over it.

  • funny n cute rabbit :3

  • I have 32 rabbits, and every 6 months they all get bathed, with a special rabbit shampoo, it has done them no harm as long as you know what your doing and do not get it on there heads, rinse very well, after,

I have 12 years experience of raising and breeding rabbits

  • aww cute :3 I give my bunnies a bath sometimes, I get them bunny shampoo

  • You really shouldn't use shampoo. Water is okay, shampoo isn't. :3

  • Your not supposed to give bunnies a bath because if they get water in their nose it goes straight to their lungs, as well as any human also. They don't need to be bathed because they clean themselves, and, the soap can damage their skin because of the oil in it, I have 7 rabbits of my own so just be careful (: (by the way I had a boy and girl and they gave birth to 5 babies, that's how I have 7)

  • @vickyraye oh stfu stupid idiot

  • @vickyraye what do you want a cookie? I don't think the bunnies having babies is any reflection of great ownership.... they are rabbits, thats essentially all they do...

  • Love the ears sooo cloppy.

  • Can you give a bunny/rabbit a bath?

  • @mrpizza1238 Your not supposed to because if water gets in its nose then it can drown as well as any human... plus rabbits clean themselves so they don't need baths.

  • @vickyraye Wrong. Vets will tell you to wash your bunny as long it doesn't get it into the ears, eyes, or nose, it's fine. Rabbits are just like humans, they will drown if water get in their noses, ect. But it wouldn't happen if people would just be more careful. And you should only wash your bunny when it's really dirty or it has fleas or something, otherwise, don't bathe your bunny.

  • Those hind paws are huge O.O

  • next time plz dont use soap on ur bunny it will hurt there skin cause of the oil the soap contains thanks for sharing

  • Soooooo sweet

  • You are so crazy ,,,,

  • She's telling you to put more water in to swim in.

  • Wow really people. I'm pretty sure that the owner isn't stupid. Sometime you have to wash animals like rabbits. I mean shit, I had to give a mouse a bath cause a VET told me that I needed to. Ever think that a vet could have told the owner to give the bunny a bath. If the water doesn't get into the nose, ears, or eyes, It's fine. Warm water in a warm house with a towel dry wont hurt them. I have seen wild families of rabbits swim in ponds in the winter. This is not animal cruelty. Wow people.

  • @twitchie4ever my vet told me too i had do bathe my gerbils..

holy shit, i searched for another vet - gerbils and other animals son't HAVE to take a bath, they clean themselves..

if they go into the water because they WANT to, its totally okay, but a baby rabbit, put into the water, has no chance to escape or to decide wether it wants to or not.

  • Wow really people. I'm pretty sure that the owner isn't stupid. Sometime you have to was animals like rabbits. Wow people.

  • animal cruelty? you're all fucking idiots... I'm pretty sure if she knew she was harming the rabbit by bathing it she wouldn't have done it. Animal cruelty is when you intentionally harm an animal, you guys need to read a fucking dictionary.

  • This is ANIMAL CRUELTY - rabbits can get SICK in the water, take proper care of your bunny.

  • is is me, or did that bunny lose sum weight...

  • Rabbit, "I'm trying to swim faster, but there's not enough water!" Sooo cute :3

  • how should he not be allowed to keep animals it could have been filthy

  • At first I giggled, then I thought "Paddle faster, I hear banjos!!" :) SO CUTE!!!

  • You should not be allowed to keep animals!

  • OH MY GOD THAT IS SO CUTEEEEE

  • Well, I know that bunnies only need damp cloth run over the fur or a quick wash of the bottom if they get sticky. They may be warm in the water but they retain water on the skin for a long time afterwards and this can cause them to remain cold and risk them getting ill. Also, like a dog or cat, it's important that no water goes into the ears as this can cause infections and pain. This is written in all animal care books and on good quality pet care shampoo bottles. X

  • DO NOT use shampoo or soap, it is not good for the rabbits skin.

  • look at those big feet!

  • Lol I love how everyone always makes a big deal about baths. As long as the thing isn't swimming in a pool, it's ok to give rabbits baths.

  • People throw a big deal over a little of nothing... if someone is trying to care for their animal and it's well fed and taken care of that is not animal "abuse". If it were being purposefully mistreated or hurt in some way, that would be abuse. But it's not... It could be in a whole lot worse sittuation. I dunno how you're supposed to bathe them... so maybe they did it wrong maybe not, they were still doing their best to take care of it :\ good for them. and cute bunny :)

  • Why is it so bad to get a rabbit wet? There is something called rain in the wild. I've never herd of a bunch of rabbits dieing after a storm. She obviously loves her bath.

  • i love her big feet lol

  • Never ever give a bath to your bunny, this is absolutely not necessary and also animal abuse!!!!!!

You can wash them partially if they are really dirty or if they have problems with diarrhea (like my rabbit one time), but never put them into the water.

And soap from the pet store? Don't you know that they are only selling all this shit for earnig money? There is no need for a bath as well as bunnies don't need this crazy thing called "dry pet-food"...

  • @nadinsche1978

Your retarded, should i not put my dog in the bath either? he might not like it but its best for him and as an owner letting him get dirty is abuse, that rabbit is fine and now clean, also if the bunny didnt like it then whey isnt it "Thumping" or crying? from what i've seen on here rabbits like the water and often just float.

  • @I0ITuGI0I Hey, no reason for getting harsh, I just wanted to tell you my opinion and what I know about rabbits. I also have 2 rabbits and I know that there is no need to bath them excepting they have diharrea and are not able to clean themselves properly.

Search the internet and you will find out that rabbits are very clean animals, and don't be mad on me, I just wrote down what I know from my experiences :o)

  • @nadinsche1978

Sorry, just bugged me that so many people were against cleaning a pet, there are a good amount of videos where the bunny does seem to be distressed, they can die from heart attack or being damp but only when left. again i apologize my tone was out of order.

  • @I0ITuGI0I No problem, I know there are a lot of weird people here, so don't worry, I didn't want to upset you.

My bunny does not like the water but I had to bath him for a few times because of his diharrea but he is over it and happy that I leave him alone without water :o)

  • I had to bath mine too one time, cause rolled in poo in the garden and, well, smelled like shit. Since he couldn't clean himself all they way, I really had to take care of it.

  • i didnt know bunnies take a bath... "/ i have two && i've never put em in water...i wanna b a better mommy for them ... help plis!! i need tips

  • @mosykitty you should never ever give a bunny a bath you can wipe them down with baby wipes or go to your local pet store and get a powder (waterless) shampoo and use it the baby wipes also help when the are molting to removeany fur he/she might be shedding but please dont give you bunny a bath you can however give them a bunny butt bath when they get a icky butt you can put somthing in your sink for her/him to grip fill the sink with water just to the feet and wash their butt with baby soap

  • @kathl33n01 why shouldn't you give them a bath?

  • @lipnoodle117 Because they clean themselves regular basis. Meaning they are clean all the time. Only on very rare occasions you may out them for a wash (if they have some sickness such as diarrhea), however not full body wash tho. Water must be perfect temperature. If you use soaps they will eat it, and can get seriously sick. If water is wrong temp they can get shock where they seem to be relaxed even tho they in reality are in shock state what is unhealthy. Plus there are other reasons.

  • awwww how cute

  • this is what i see when people put comments about how its dangerous to bathe a bunny: bullshit. its not gunna kill them! if waters so dangerous why dont they stop drinkin it too then? no one here wants to hear that crap from you. how wil it cause health problems??

  • that's sad!

  • @IshaniTala How is it sad?!?!? Just because the rabbit looks all poor and defensless, doesnt mean its gonna die or anything. Getting clean water on it, wont kill it as long as you make sure it doesnt get too cold.

  • @Horsegal143 The soap is not naturally, the bath is not naturally. Thats a ANIMAL not a DOLL!!!!

  • poor bunny....

  • Lmao... That rabbit ain't going to die of getting some _clean_ water on his body.. What do you think they do when they run trough the woods? Magically float over all the ponds?

  • @sKratch1337 Well if it's a pond.. they would go around it. If its a river they would find a way to cross it. Rabbits can swim but it can be deadly, not because clean water will hurt them but because rabbits do not have as much body fat as other animals. Warm days/nights it is fine for them to be wet, but if there is a chill in the air, they do not have the protection against it (ie: hardly any body fat). Rabbits do clean themselves but they can't always get it all. Recommended to use a wet rag.

  • cute! Looks like Thumper, lol. Lovely name , Smurfette.

  • rabbits do not need to bathe

  • rabbit never take bath , they might die after being sick

  • I thought rabbits weren't supposed to take baths. I heard they can go into schock...

  • @XoGothicGirloX they don't need it (because they wash themselves), but it won't hurt them as long as you make sure they won't get to cold:)

  • I hope it was her last bath, as I assume that you read up about caring for a rabbit after this and realised that YOU DON'T BATH RABBITS!

  • some fast punches o.0

  • Ooh she didn't like that haha. Don't get her ears wet she cpd get sick!! Lol but she's too cute!

  • .... now, just throw in some chopped carrots...

  • Too cute my rabbit spike freaked out when he had his first bath

  • for the people who are saying you can't bathe rabbits: shut up cause you clearly have no idea what youre talkin about. its her rabbit and she has a specially formulated shammpoo FOR her rabbit.. you clearly can bath rabbits or there wouldnt be a rabbit shampoo. its her rabbit, leave her alone! i bathed my old rabbit with rabbit shampoo and she loved it- fyi. so stfu. thanks ^_^

btw, your bunny is gorgeous, ignore ignorant people that cant appreciate your vid. :) xx

  • It's not good to have the head wet, or to bathe it at all, even.

  • Sooo sweeet

  • You are not supposed to bath rabbits or bunnies, even if they have this special shampoo...Pet stores also sell other wrong supplies...especially food that makes them fat or ill!

Get yourself some good literature, that will help you to understand your rabbit!

  • @vampirebreeze it is ok to bathe bunnies, believe it or not. i've given mine a bath on more than one occasion, due to being a bit messy from being sick. as long as you use EXTREMELY gentle shampoo, as their skin is very sensitive, it's ok. and if you dry them right away and keep them away from any draft or cold air, there is nothing wrong with it. some people even use hairdryers on the lowest cool setting to help dry them faster. (again, sensitive skin)

  • @tweakfreak87 After or for an illness it is okay but not anytime else! It is very stressful for the rabbit! People do it because they want to personalize an animal!

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • OMG u are crazy!! She is licking the soap! 0.o

  • Its okay but watch out:

    Dont leave them alone!!

Dont let shampoo or anything in their fur!! (they lick theirselves and the shampoo too if its not out, u wanna eat shampoo?!)

Dont do it often and dont get their ears wet!!

  • Comment removed

  • @OrchidVideos dude did you read what she said at the top he baught a special shampoo for rabbits so it wont harm them at at all even by licking

  • THAT'S ANIMAL CRUELTY. RABBITS DON'T BELONG IN THE BATHTUB IDIOT!

  • @dhucke4assembly um its ok... just dont get water in their ears and dont do it often IDIOT!

  • @dhucke4assembly no it's not. as long as the insides of the ears stay dry and they don't do it too freaquently it's is perfectly harmless.

  • the ears must not get wet!

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

  • Our rabbit Q-Tip (albino angora) seems to be made about 95% out of fur, because when we give her fur is soaked and matted against here there isn't much rabbit there.

  • @ForerunnerConstruct omg!! my rabbit's name is q-tip too! =) he's a netherland dwarf.

  • how can you eat such a cute "thing"?

  • SOOOOO... cute!!! Im looking into getting a rabbit!! This is too cute!! XxX

  • no offense.I do have a guinnea pig and i do bath her,but not too often becouse they have senstive lungs and can easily die.Same with the rabbits. And only in full summer i bath my sweety (she is a girl) and put her in towel and dry her..and then let her in another room where eveything is closed and no let her stay in cold air...but if i see her shaking...i use my hair dryer.I prefere to dry her,coz i am sffraid she ll get sick.Just one time per month is enough.

My parents have rabits..so i know!

  • Animal abusers!

  • wet bunnys look funny xD

  • awwwww. lol. she's like 'OMG I'M WET!! GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF!!!!!!' (btw ppl, if u have to give your bunny a bath, this is exactly the way to do it. sometimes bunnies need help keeping clean if they're especially messy, like when they're sick)

  • aaaw. cute bunny bathing in bathing foam tested on other cute (tortured) bunny

  • I love how people are like

    "you can bathe bunny's!?"

Some people don't have to bathe them,

some people do. (: It's a lot like ferrets.

Ferrets you're actually supposed to bathe,

or else they become stinky ferrets. :3

For them I used kitten shampoo,

and I think I've heard you can use kitten shampoo

    on bunnies as well...?

    :3

  • @MusicRawrKins i've never heard that before. never thought of that. i used a tiny bit of tearless puppy shampoo and he's just fine. you're right. people freak out. different bunnies have different needs.

  • @tweakfreak87

Many people haven't heard of it. (:

I read it in a magazine actually.

A lot of small animals are like that,

need to be bathed because they can't properly clean themselves (:

  • so adorable!

  • Where's Bambi Thumper? LMAO ^_^ too cute

  • sory for aksing but why are you washing your bonny mybe beacuse of fless? ive got a bunny at home and he's got so clean furr so it's shining in dark and he never saw a bath before ...

bye the way wery cute bunny :)

  • Those are some big ears.

  • i thought you couldnt bathe rabbits?

  • awwh.

  • is that 3 week old in the pic?

  • Cute! I have a Dwarf rabbit! (Midget rabbit in other words lol!)

Ive got a video of her :) lol

  • I've been reading a bunny book saying that you should never ever wash a bunny! Don't know why though.

  • omg its sooooo cute

  • those are HUGE ears! :D

  • LMFAO!!!!!!

  • Why do people always resort to baby talk around bunnies? ;D (I'm guilty too) What a cutie! But I don't think she's liking that water; it's messing up her fur.

  • Comment removed

  • So cute! He seems to be enjoying it! XD

  • i fill my tub up about the amount in this vid but the ONLYY i time i put my rabbit in the tub is when i take him outside to eat some grass and be free and his feet get dirty thats the only time i give him a bathh

  • His name is Twinky?

  • It's so cute! I have a bunny. I might give him a bath, but by the time I can bring him to the tub. My arms will be scratched off by his long claws. :O

  • thatrabbit likes 2 get a bath mine doesnt

  • you named your bunny off of a smurf?so what i have 3 fish and i named em:handy, snappy, and brainy!!!

  • so cute at 0:05

  • Aww pore bunny.

  • aww its soocute but.. about all the foam and that..

did you just put regular soap there ? or...

  • we bought some soap from the pet store, specially formulated for rabbits so it doesn't hurt them if they drink water or it gets in his ears.

  • ah interesting i didnt know they had rabbit soap.. i tried looking at stores near my place. but they only have cat and dog.. nothing more than that..

  • did you not no tht a 'wet rabbit is a dead rabbit?' :| :s

  • You are not supposed to bathe rabbits. It is actually quite dangerous for them.

  • @click642 how is it dangerous to bathe them ?

  • OMG it looks like thumper except black xD

  • dude it's animal rorture to name your rabbit "smurfette" XD

  • Awe giant foot lol

  • AWEEEEEEEE!!!!!

  • kinda looks like he's boxing a ghost. lol

  • lol cute

  • I`m just asking , but your not gonna take a bath with the rabbit arent you? I`m from swe , sorry for my spelling

  • 0:05 - 0:06 was sooo CUTEEEEEEEEEEE!

  • Please tell me what kind of rabbit this is? Where did you adopt/buy him?

  • Look likes a lop.

  • Not all rabbits can/always clean themselves properly (and when naughty bunnies get the runs from eating plants they shouldn't...) so sometimes its good to bath them especially in the summer when flystrike is a huge problem.

My bunny has a skin condition so regularly has bathes in a special soak to ease his itching. He's never caught a cold, but then just like kids, you just have to dry them properly after. But mine prefers to sit under a radiator : ) Yay for indoor bunnies!

  • Ahh i love your bunnies name ^^ so cute

  • By the way, cute name for your rabbit! (:

  • hahaha shes so cute... I dont think she's scared, just confused!!

  • i want a rabbit so bad but i cant becuz of my dogs

  • popthecowpie:

I have a bunny...and also 2 cats and a dog. I cannot say that they get along, but I never put them near each other. I can just see the look on my cat's face when they hear my bunny. If you just let your bunny hop around a certain room, and keep the cage in that room too, everything works out fine, and best, no animals get hurt. :)

  • o thank you for the help. I will try to get one but i don't think i can. But thanks again

  • Oh no problem! At first, I was unsure of getting a bunny because of my other animals, but everything worked out...safely. :)

  • cutest rabbit ever

  • I know you have a lot of views and comments, but if you could please get back to me it would be great. What kind of rabbit is that? Unless my eyes are decieving me I see a long tail... Which rabbits don't have haha. This will bug me forever until I know what kind it is. thank you!

  • lol,It's a loped eared rabbit.

  • Do you know what breed by any chance? Holland, french, american fuzzy? I'm very curious, I've never seen a rabbit wet or not with a tail that long. Very cool. haha.

The reason I'm so intrigued is because I'm going to school to be a veterinary technician so it's just cool to see something in animals that you haven't seen before! haha

  • hahah Ohh okay. That's cool. Her tail isn't really that long/she looks super skinny since shes wet so maybe it just looks long? anyway, it's a holland lop eared. =-)

  • @SkywayTraffic awww that poor rabbit looks like a rat,but that rabbit is a hollend lop eard rabbit.sorry for my spelling.

  • do you wash em once a year or once a month please help im getting one this christmas!

  • haha thats mint

  • If you put a towel down in the bathtub it will make your rabbit more comfortable so he/she will not slide in the tub..

  • aww, that is so cute! Rabbits should have a bunny bath once in a while, so you never did anything wrong

  • Yeah its not wise to bath them too much...but they do need it every now and then. Their butt area can get very soiled and cause infection or draw flies......so there are times they need a bath but you should never submerge them in water.Shallow water works best. Using a slip free mat or towel is recommended since they can easily injure their spines if they slip or twist the wrong way.

  • Um... O.o I wouldnt reccomend bathing your bunny much. But it seems like every comment on here is already discussing that. So I'm just gonna tell you that Smurfette is such an amazing name for a bunneh! I named mine Foofoocudlypoops xD dont ask x3

  • At least you didn't buy a sabretoothed mooselion as a pet~

  • xD Haha, yea true

  • umm my bunny use to do thatt when he was cold so i put warmer water and that hand thing stop and only once a wk i give them bathes.

  • look, you can bathe ur rabbit, OK? my rabbit, Buddy, needs to be bathed once a week. its not everyday. all you people who say that special shampoo is no excuse, there IS rabbit soap! how many of you people have rabbits anyway?? huh??

  • @jordanwantszacefron9

I have 2 bunnies! :D lol. I heard that baby shampoo will work really well and wont hurt them. But Idk, when I bathe my bunnies I just use water.
