I checked Amazon and there are brand new vinyl albums available for sale, with one of the newer albums being the motion picture soundtrack to "The Dark Knight."
As for CDs, there's this newfangled device called an "iPod."
There's also digital audio formats with superior resolution to CD, called SACD and DVD-Audio. :-\
Vinyl is seeing a revival of sorts; while CD sales are going down, vinyl has been going up.
But, the niche remains with audiophiles, vinyl diehards, and vinyl-spinning DJs.
I have a turntable in my system; a Sony PS-X600 with an Ortofon VMS-20EO and is the only non-ES Sony component (other than my speakers) in my audio system (my CD player, cassette deck, and 7.1 receiver are all Sony ES).
Yeah, I know it's a Sony, but their ES series equipment is actually good.
It May Be Winter Outside!!! Incredibly beautiful song! The whole album is incredible!!!

Is Gary Numan really that bad? I didn't think he was bad enough to melt.

It can be a bright idea for some scratched and unusable records but I longly prefer vinyl records in their actual shape that in bowls!

I agree. That's unless the record is unplayable.

In the case of an unplayable record, a better idea is recycling, so the unplayable record can become raw material to make new records.

Cute!
Do they really still make vinyl records?
Too bad everyone uses these "iPods", and you don't find many people with record players anymore.
Actually, we have one, but it is used as a side table in our living room.

Sorry for the condescension.
