Doesn't sound like he has any idea how to drive! If its moving keep gassing it, get some momentum, if you can steer, with rwd, keep your foot in it--melt the snow/ ice and you'll get out.

I drove my 8 in Idaho this last winter and had little to no problems...but I was running on some Proxes 4's....not that those are ideal, but I even drove on the highway in some nasty 5-6 inch heavy wet stuff!

Put on some snow tires dude. My 8 with Pirelli Snow tires goes through snow without any slippage.

that's terrible advice. pick tires best suited for the conditions you're likely to encounter. bald summer tires + snow + quattro = 4 wheel spin

@rufusvonstorm As someone who drives an S4 with performance summer tires... yes, tires mean everything. Get a pair of actual winter tires, even on RWD, it'll make the car handle excellently. It's not like the Renesis generates so much torque it's problematic.
