Well I got them as close as I could. I know for a fact that the tabs on Ultimate-Guitar are wrong on the sweeps though. If you slow the song down and listen to the notes, they don't match up with the tabs

You're right, my mistake. I didn't remember that tab. But that's practically the same thing I play in this video. I just use different positions, such as tapping at the first part of the sweeps instead of sliding up and doing the minor arpeggio

wtf is a pitch-shifter? so basically it's in D standard, like the song "Revolution Is My Name" by Pantera.

yeah, it is. a pitch-shifter just changes the pitch of the notes you play on a guitar. like you can have your guitar tuned to standard and use the pitch shifter to lower the notes that you play. my guitar was tuned to standard and i just dropped it a whole step so it would be like my guitar was in D standard

haha well it came as a built-in effect in my GT-10. you can get them on just about any guitar website. and on your other comment that you removed, i think what you're hearing is the harmonized note that's being played on the song, not the note that i'm playing

Pretty fucking epic? I think that describes this quite well. I can do fuck all of the song, just the verse and chorus (in rough). Much practice required, and I don't think the solo I even stand a chance in.

yep, i get that tab, and modified it a little, but it's too fast to exactly know what to play... don't know how you did it by ear !! :)

btw, the sweep is at 190 bpm, so i'll have to practice a little before playing it nicely :'(

haha yeah i'm pretty sure i'm still not playing it right but it's pretty close. yeah man just practice it at a speed that you can play it cleanly and work your way up from there. that's what i always have to do on stuff like this even though i still don't play it clean full speed =P
