  • @dravidianwolf i think there's nothing to reform and change in advaita vedanta.

And, if we want, we can go to meet some masters, Acharyas, like Amma, Ranjit Maharaj (dead in 2000), etc

i met both oh them, and it's great , fantastic !

  • The Hindu faith as depicted here, appears to be the most beautiful way of life. But I always remember that not everyone was allowed to practice it. The sudras could not obtain 'twice-born' status (sacred initiation). This was the problem that always haunted me, and why I could not remain involved in Hinduism.

  • @hearts0ngs But no !

Adi Shankaracharya was totally against the castes ! He said that castes was a big stupidity.

  • I need to tell this...

The actual birth date of Shankaracharya is 509 BC, not 780 AD...

Similarly, the date of birth of Buddha is 1887 BC... Not 483 BC...

The history we read in our school is doctored history...

The dates were altered by the Westerners to match it with the dates of Aryan Invasion theory...

I wish GV Iyer had done some research about this...

  • @dravidianwolf join one dharma brother...

maybe this is the time!.....to bring back dharma.

India is one by history, genetics, religous thought, literature, One dharma, buddist, sikh, jain and sanatana dharma..........

To stop the colonial deceit to make you understand the truth, the history, the facts, and then YOUR MIND will decide for you, and your heart will lead you to justice.

  • खुद को साधू कहलाते हो ,

    फिर स्म्लेगिकता को किउँ छिपाते हो ॲ

  • Greatest teacher ever!!

  • from him the lord...the incarnation of my lord hanuman, before swami vivekananda, they brought hinduism international...they spread the hindu way life...he divided hinduism in to shanmatha satapana....and told that lord shiva and lord vishnu is the ultimatum..but today ppl are dividing our religion in to pieces...

  • @bhisman There are as many ways to worship God as there are people to worship Him. Embrace the way which is best suited to yourself, but do not slander the ways of others. If love is being cultivated, then the religion is true. When doctrine complicates this simple truth, rather than supporting it, then doctrine has erred. To the degree that one has love, one has God. The Lord has given a variety of faiths to suit the various temperaments of devotees. Form and formlessness are one.

  • @Silenus6 well said sir.if only so called religious people could understand there are many ways of realising the truth and that not one is better than the other.

Sai Baba ,who many people adore and some slander, said "It is good to be born in a church, but not good to die in one"

We have to realise the God within to be free of all religious dogma, for it is the same truth in everyone.

    in everything.

  • @eaglerock999 Absolutely. The ladder to heaven is a glorious thing, worthy of great reverence, but one must eventually let go of the ladder in order to step into heaven. Many blessings to you, my friend.

  • A master piece from GV iyer... Hope this film has inspired many others... Let bhagavan Adi Shankara guide us in realising the tatvas he had emphasised...

hara hara shankra... jaya jaya shankara!!

  • Sri Jagadguru is the great Hindu reformer, without him indian religious system would not have been like this at present.Sri Adi Shankaracharya took the belief system of india and established the 'shanmatas'-

  • Thanks for this good video series. Great work must reach all by GV Iyer.

  • Adi Shankara actually expounded classical Buddhism; and also refuted latter-day nihilistic Buddhism which failed to grasp that the universe is composed of a single intelligible medium. It alone is real. All else is an illusion.

  • Bhagavatpada took "knowledge" to the masses...Buddhism did not "fail" but Bhagavatpada was the medium of Ambika to translate in pure words....Buddhism on the other hand had the same theory in a different packaging, thats all simple!!

  • one of the mot cryptic movies ever made. There are so many symbolisms that a common man does not understand the meaning behind it. I wonder why GV.Iyer decided to try such symbolisms instead of directly conveying the message

  • @jangajarn

my one line answer to you would be, can you think of Sanathana Dharma, Hindu Matha with out symbolism? Its like telling why should look at 'Lingam' in the temple instead of Shiva himself. So Symbolism is the core of it.

  • Well.........if u ever come and watch this video, in say a year you will understand the difference!

  • Adi Shankara Bhagavatpadal greatest teacher of all times. Such an inspiration for us even today

    Glories to Guru Parampara

  • The Kerala ritual, although short, is fascinating!

Thanks for this awesome set of videos!

  • @Brahms777 , When Adi Shankara's mother passed away, the bhramins of kerala didnt allow him to take the deadbody thru' their street, nor use thier burial ground.didnt give firewood. He sets fire with a plantain tre. he cureses the Namboothiris "All mantras & knowledge that u have which has led to huge pride in u - will not work.U need to do a set of Kriyas(Karanyas) before u start any pooja. Thats the key for the locked box. Still kerala bhramins use the unlokcing , locking technique.(karanyas)

  • The info says " the founder of the non-duality (Advaita Vedanta)"

Aadhi Guru Bhagavathpada did not propose/find anything new...he only made non duality available to the mortals which was always part of our VEDAS as an underlying theme..

as a parting message to his students and the world...he said...

    Vedhonithyam Aadhiyatham...

    Thadhudhitham karmanushteeyatham

    Dustharkasthu viramyatham

    Shruthee Mastharkanee Samdheeyatham

I hope you correct this on the information page....

    GuruKripa
