We are however allowed to accept coffee from someone inside their house as that is not considered a gift but rather a normal thing to offer company of any sort. We are also allowed to accept coffee at any type of event where it is free for everyone. Otherwise no way can we or should we accept any gifts whatsoever from a business.
Businesses give free coffee and sometimes food to get them to come around more often. As a teen, I gave the local cops free coffee at the convenience store I worked at all the time. Small price to pay to have them visit often.

Some places have a price code for officers and workers are disciplined for not giving the free products. Police deserve to eat too so while crime is going on, nutrition still needs to be consumed. I've seen more credible examples of neglect of duty than what's in this video.

Cops don't risk chit. If they even think a situation might be dangerous, they call for several units of backup. That usually means about half the police force will respond to the call. They are equipped with more armour then the armies of most countries. A police officer can't just walk up and arrest someone because they think they're selling drugs. They have to actually see the drugs being sold in order to do anything. Most officers know who the neighborhood drug dealers are, and it frustrates them as much as it does you, but they can't do anything about it.

I got my car stolen one fine morning and reported it and minutes later a cop arrived. Did the whole report and the next day my car was found.

We do see the guy on the corner, but he's the lookout, he's got nothing on him. Our vice squad gets the dealers while we're busy on theft reports and domestic violences and stuff like that. The lookout is always some 15 yo anyways who we do lock up for other offenses sometimes, but the juvy courts let him out that same day w a slap on the wrist probation. Then hes back on that same corner. We also get 30 mins to eat, which is what this officer was doing. Oh, and get a job.

Establishments give out free food and drinks because they are glad an officer frequented their area. If arguing over the gratuity brings more attention, an officer will likely take the grauity. Some places have a price code for officers and workers are disciplined for not giving the free products. Police deserve to eat too so while crime is going on, nutrition still needs to be consumed. I've seen more credible examples of neglect of duty than what's in this video.

I believe that cops should undergo psychological profiling and should be intensely trained in public relatons before they be allowed to darn a badge, uniform, and a gun.
Unforturnately, that is not how the system works. What you forget is that cops are humans too, and as such, they behave as humans. I once gave a cop $86 that I found on the street in a wallet, thinking that he would turn it in to the station. Cop never even made a report about it, and it never made the lost and founds.

Cops don't risk chit. If they even think a situation might be dangerous, they call for several units of backup. That usually means about half the police force will respond to the call. They are equipped with more armour then the armies of most countries. Most cops are simply scumbag cowards who were probably molested as a child who now take out that fustration on would be "criminals".

Over here, our Sheriff's Office has a unit specifically for domestic violence calls and I can assure you, every call is taken seriously and the response time is very short. A police officer can't just walk up and arrest someone because they think they're selling drugs. They have to actually see the drugs being sold in order to do anything. Most officers know who the neighborhood drug dealers are, and it frustrates them as much as it does you, but they can't do anything about it.
Also, so what officers aren't allowed to eat now? They are human, they require food in order to survive. Sometimes they get free meals, it's a small perk for such a dangerous job.

Hmm, I thought the main argument was that the cops are public servants and work for the people? which is it? We can't stop people unless they break the law. If you knew what you were talking about then you would know that.
People like you are so easy to see through. You talk a good game, but in the end, show nothing but what your true agenda really is.
Next time, get on camera a police officer doing something wrong, then you won't be given a hard time by people.

Hey dumbasses!!!! You talk about these drug dealers and prostitutes, yet you have no proof of that. Sure, you probably can tell from a mile away, but you still don't have proof to back that up in court, which is exactly why cops can't just walk up and arrest people. If your arguement is that the cops aren't taking these people to jail you have a problem understanding the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. You can't just take away their rights and freedoms because you think they're criminals!!!

I curently train with the Columbus Police, and guess where, thats right you guessed it bub, on the westside(the bottoms) 8th pricent, and yes we do get half hour breaks, but you kno wut we barely get to use them because there is always someone like you who has nothing better to do with their life then to make our JOB harder then what it already is
