You start off as the baby, I'm not sure what the bird was, a monkey for kids "monkeying" around, a piano for growing and learning, a cactus for when we leave home and are alone, a dragon for gaining wisdom, territory, etc, EVE for when we are old and broken, and a gravestone for when we die.

You know, in the Famicon version, you didn't learn the last melody from George's tombstone, you're warped directly to Magicant after learning Eve's melody, and Queen Mary finished the song after you sang the first seven melodies to her. Its both admazing and ironic how much work the Nintendo localizers put into EarthBound NES, yet never bothered to releaese it.
