I was born in Chicago and lived there from the early 60's through the mid 70's, and the city neighborhoods were very segregated and territorial when it came to gangs, and back then the gangs wore the Lettermen type sweaters that you'd see in high schools and rumbles were settled with baseball bats, chains, knives...not AK-47s and 9MMs like today.

All I know is that the Kings were most prevalent in the Wisconsin prison. system..but as big as they were, SC Royals ran most of the dope and tobacco and all them prison hustles. Wow. I remember living a block away from the Twilight Zone. I remember the LKs came to that block in a van and attempted a drive-by Then crashed and were stuck. I swear like a million MLD's shot up the van and killed all 6 LKs took there shoes and threw them on the power cables! I will never forget what happened to those dudes in that van. It was tough back then. You had to watch what you wear, how you wear it, and who your hanging with. It was a sad time for Puerto Ricans if you ask me...
