i'm glad he didn't kiss the women. i wouldn't want a strange old man to kiss me on TV. i'm glad he changed his policy. i think it's pretty ridiculous to assume that women went on this show wanting to be kissed. (some may have) they kind of just went with it, because they didn't have much choice. sexism, in one of it's last forms. besides, what if had herpes? :-P

I think it's ridiculous he didn't kiss the women. His daughter was so young, she would not have associated it with anything sexual... just kindness and love (just like Dawson himself said in the 1985 finale). And if his wife had a problem with it, then there was something wrong with her. Her husband was Richard Freakin Dawson. That's his TRADEMARK. ;-)

It makes me so mad that he kissed Carol on the hand but didn't even attempt to kiss Betty. and they he rejected her like that? i mean its RICHARD haha.

I realized that he didn't kiss any of the ladies, and i was surprised that Betty was disappointed that she didn't receive a kiss, but Carol did. I could tell by the kind gesture that Betty did during the question, but if that's the way he feels about it, then that's perfectly fine.

I'm a little suprised at Dawson, Betty obviously wanted a kiss from Richard but he didn't give her one. And Dawson was known for his kissing of ladies.

Well, Richard changed his policy on kissing women for starters, and remember, since the last time Betty appeared on Family Feud, she lost her husband, who was one of Richard's good friends. Everyone at Goodson-Todman treated Betty White for YEARS (even as far as 2000!) with extra respect after Allen Ludden's death.
