i just bought a precision small arms baby browning new, this week, $475, talked to the owner of the factory, he tossed in an extra magazine in the deal. i got a blued one, if i like it, i'll probably get the stainless version for my birthday. those are a couple of sharp lookin' little pistols!
I dont think Ive heard of a precision arms baby browning and I gave 400 dollars for rhis one and am tickled with it,,ive only shot it once and it didnt jam any at all,,I also have a bauer 25 auto that is the replica of the baby browning and it shoots perfect to,,have a good en old buddy.
well if you mean the little pop up barrel barretta 25 auto the baby browning is much smaller,,I have 3 of the model 21 A barettas and they dwarf the baby browning but I know the one you speak of and it is small but not as small as the baby browning or bauer 25 auto,,heck the baby browning is so small you have to be careful how you hold it when you fire it or the slide will catch your hand and hurt you pretty badly,,I do love the little barretta you speak of though and want one for sure,,thanks.
The Barretta 950 is about the same size as a Colt Jr 25 auto,,I have one listed here on youtube if you wanna look at it,,also the barretta 950's are getting rare and hard to find for sure so if you have one hold onto it,,Rick
I love my baby browning to pieces and also I have Mac the gun smith here in town looking for me a 950 Barretta,,while living my father was a gun dealer and he always had one of the 950 barretta's seems like and he was gun trader and usually got them cheap,,he'd faint if he knew I paid 450 dollars for my Baby Browning,,haha,,he could have traded for barretta 950 and had probably 150 dollars in it at the most,,he was a amazing trader,,,,,thanks again.
@snowmangsx1100 yea i was about to put mine on gun trader but right when i typed in the name beretta 950 for sale i was like damnit i just cant sell my baby LOL
Have you seen the movie "George Of The Jungle " with Brendan Frazer ? in it the rich guy who try's to hunt him down as the white ape has 2 of the nickel plated barettaa 950's,,one being real and the other being a cigarette lighter,,both nickel plated with pearl handles like my baby browning which is what I will buy when i find one,,,I dont buy blue guns anymore,,only nickel and stainless,,Im like you thought on getting rid of the browning,,I wouldnt trade it for 3 950 barrteta's,,haha,,later
if you get a chance look at my Barretta 21 A's I have listed on youtube,i think I have them listed and if not i will list them,I have all 3 models being the nickel and stainless and the black finish and there double action unlike yours and my baby browning, yours is single action and the hammer has to be pulled back by hand and my barretta 21 A's all you have to do it point and pull the trigger and it cocks and fires all in one motion.or double action as they call it...not sure I have them listed
believe it or not I dont have my barretta 21 A's listed, hard to believe but I will make a video of them tomorrow and post,,not much bigger than a 950,,check out my colt 380 mustang and ATC 45 auto backup,,its a palm sized 45 auto and isnt much bigger than the colt 380 mustang and kicks like a mule when you shoot it,,haha,,I also have some of the northern arms mini revolvers,,I have the 22 long rifle mini revolver and then the 22 magnum mini revolver and either will fit in a pack of cigarettes.
I just watched a video of a 950 baretta and he had it close up in his hand and its way bigger than baby browning,,haha,,Im telling you its hard to shoot a baby browning without getting your hand hurt by the slide when it pops back,,gotta be careful when you shoot them for sure there so small,,have a good night.
I told you wrong,,i have the colt pony listed on youtube rather than the colt Jr,,colt jr is almost as small as the baby browning but no cigar on it or the pony,,,wish I had a barretta 950 to sit side by side and see,,,later.
the upper half and barrel may be about the same size on both but the difference is in the handle of your barretta,,much bigger handle and longer magazine.
well Im basing what I say from memory,,I used to have a barretta 950 years ago and they are tiny but i just dont think there as small as a baby browning,,there probably close in size but I think the barretta handle and magazine is the main difference in size,,thanks.
You're right, 43 bucks wasn't cheap! My Colt service revolver cost $66 &my S&W Airweight snubnose cost $65! They also had a holster 4 the Lady Browning that would strap on the chics' thigh, When I was " on duty " always kept one chambered, but in my retirement, no. Would luv 2 go back to those days when the chrome was thick and the women were straight !
you know everyone says they wish prices were what they used to be but remember back then people made 50 cents a hour also and why 43 dolalrs was a lot of money,,I watch The Andy Griffith show a lot and I think i heard Goober say he made 90 cents a hour in the early 60's ,,heck I made 2.35 and hour in the late 70's as a kid and worked 120 hours a week and my check was about 120 dollars,,haha,,who would have ever thought a silver dollar back in the 1800's would now be worth almost 40 dollars, wow.
Shown in this video is the "Lady Browning" which sold for $43.00 in 1966 ! My blue steel model cost me $36.00 I never carry this piece with a round chambered, it wouldn't take that long to rack the slide. Strictly a back up belly gun.
hahaha I didnt know they made a Lady Browning back then since womens lib hadnt hardly got a grip like it has today but I believe you,,Ive ben thinking it was a ultra light weight mdel only but I still cherish it and wouldnt at the moment sale it and it most likely did sale for almost 43 dollars but 43 dollars in 1966 was a lot of money and a gallon of gas was 20 cents or less ,ever see Aunt Bee pull up to Goobers station and get a dollars worth of super in a army tank of a car,,LOL,, ,,thanks,
I noticed you called the magazine a "clip", which might draw some response in a gun forum where someone would demand that you call it a magazine, but reading the manual that came with my 1970 model it mentioned the clip at least twice! A second little pamphlet that came with it called it a magazine, go figure,,,
well it would be there constitutional right to demand anything they want but that doesnt I'll do it,,,hahaha,,I think they called them a clip back in the 70's and 80's and magazine doesnt really fit what they are and do but about half the time I call them clip and then sometimes I call them magazine,,haha,,I appreciate it and thanks.
lets see the list of serial numbers I have doesnt go that high so your must have been made after 1969,,numbers 479001 and back were made before 1969,,thanks.
never,,,,I aint hankering to shoot myself big buddy,,,even with safety on these guns could fire and just dont feel the need to have a 25 caliber slug in my leg or gut,,,LOL,,plus I bought this gun as a collectors item and isnt by no means my main carry piece,,my main carry piece is a Baretta 21 A stainless steel 22 automatic and with CCI stingers in it believe me you dont want it pointed at you,,haha,,appreciate the commnet though.
Nice vid on your baby browning...I absolutely love this pistol. I just read a book by Walton Street Pulishing in Chicago where one of the characters' grandfather is a delivery driver and he carries this exact pistol with the gold trigger and pearl handle. Some punks get in front of the grandfather's delivery truck and the exact line from the grandfather goes: "Don't worry, Anthony, they make more than beer in Belgium," and then he pulls out this pistol and protects the grandson. It was great.
wow you have 2 of them,,I have this nickel plated Baby browning and then I have a stainless Baby Bauer 25 auto Ive had for years,,I just wanted a baby browning so i bought one and heck I may buy another one,,haha,,appreciate the comment,,Rick
I live in amreica man,,haha,,california I think is the only state who is pretty hard on there citizens with guns,,glad i dont live there.
