  • The title is "Passin' Thru." 9/62 is right. The earlier album on Reprise was titled " A Different Journey," and is also an excellent album!

  • JPDM, you're right. . I can't remember the title, but it was the 1st album after Chico moved to the IMPULSE label. The same group did a slightly earlier album, on Reprise, I think. Chico on drums, Albert Stinson-bass, Gabor Szabo-guitar, George Bohannon-trombone (not heard on El Torro) and Charles Lloyd-tenor sax and flute.

This one had covers of Ramblln' by Ornette Coleman and the standard, TheSecond Time Around. It's a really good album and probably out of print.

  • Wrong. Track recorded on September 18, 1962 !

Not on the original issue of "The dealer".

  • love this tune with Gabor Szabo on guitar! I just did some checking and the year of release is 1966, not 62.

  • I think I'll buy this album !

  • @rgotine

I think I'll do that too. It's such good music. Just worth it. Music I'll be able to listen to for years.
