Don't bother reasoning about the title, there are an abundance of people out there who just can't accept the fact that games aren't numbered 1, 2, 3 perfectly one after the other, and feel the need the essentially OUTRIGHT LIE to themselves and everyone else. this goes for all ac games. You are a pilot/raven/lynx (depending on game), you control tricked out mechs. you get hired out by corporations/company's/militia­s/terrorist group/ other pilots/ random ass people to fuck some one days up. The Corporations control everything. There are no more countries/nations. All nations died out in some big war called the great destruction. After the great destruction rich ass corporations took control of remaining population and took them under ground/in sky.

Well, actually the "auto-aim" works just as any auto-aim from all the other armored core games, the only thing is you don't see the fcs box anymore. That's all. As for gameplay it's still fun and challenging at times, i don't see the fact that now ACs are more manouverable as a bad thing. Storywise i prefer AC 2 or AC 3+SL.....As for the graphic i really don't care. I hope you'll revalue the newer ACs.

I personally loved the new set up, and I grew up with the AC series. The old school one was a bit too clunky and slow, especially when dealing with turning, plus the cool down system, though realistic was kind of annoying. With AC4, the game allows you to practice some true high octain action without the bother. That's just my opinion.

Who the fuck thinks that this is Armored Core "5"? It's "For Answer" ya dumb shit. Most of the Armored Core titles have a spin-off title after it. Armored Core 2, Armored Core 2: Another Age. Armored Core 3, Armored Core: Silent Line. The reason why they did this so you could carry some data over to the spin-off title such as emblems and Armored Cores you've made in the later titles.

you do know that this isnt AC5 right? ACFA is the 13th in the series I believe. They dont add a number to the name unless the "engine" is drastically changed.

AC2: they had to move it to the PS2, thus needing a complete over haul.

AC3: they changed nearly every part, added hanger units, and added left hand guns

AC4: UF DUH. sega got a hold of it.... and a major overhaul.

There wont be an AC5 until there is a new major overhaul. Could be the next 1. Who knows.

Yo dipshit, Sega didn't get hold of it. They simply distributed the game outside of Japan since Agetec is inexperience in the area of current-gen consoles. They have no input in the actual development of the game. Just like how Ubisoft only handles distribution for FA.

Armored Core is probably one of the most under-appreciated continuing series right now (I hate to admit it, but multi-platforming helped a lot due to the PS3's cost). I do think the older ones had advantages over 4 and 4A though, like 100+ missions in some of them (and flamethrowers, God I miss those).
