  • God I still love Atari. I am so grateful that people actually took the time to develop so many emulators/assemble the game/ROMs. Now I am looking for people to play At with online (Atari800Win+ (5200, 400/800/XL/E) &, PCAE (Atari 2600) emulators)

ElRamos, do you still like/play Atari, & do have/use any emulators? If so, ever try playing them online? If not, are you interested? C'mon dude! Let's battle it out in some "Combat"! Ohhh....& or maybe "Outlaw"! :-) It's all free/easy setup!

  • @gjc82071 I'm a purist: Original heavy six-switcher console and an analog TV, just like in the old days!

  • @ElRamos Being a "purist" is admirable & all (I also have a "real" Atari 2600), but personally I'm more of a dedicated/hardcore vintage gamer. I just really like & want to p"lay", by any/all means available. So, given a choice between being a purist but NOT having the ability to play many or most Atari 2600 games (unless you have a mega-collection of carts), or NOT being a purist & having the ability to play nearly every Atari 2600 game ever released via emulation, I choose the later.

  • yea this ad is from 1982

  • I think this ad launched in 1982, actually; they said "and soon, the only Defender" which launched in summer 1982. This particular copy aired 23 May 1982.

  • @whattheheck1000 I corrected the title. Thanks for the info!
