i love my wii, but it will never emulate the experience of the GC. i am 16 but i didnt grow up on N64, but the Christmas morning i opened up that GC, it was love at first sight. I never got bored of it, all the way til i got a wii in 07. the wii has been fun, but things like gamecube and gameboy advance will be my fav. memories forever

@grayboy964 so that the game could start to load "behind the scenes" they had to use a compression code for game, so the system just needed more thinking time. Plus it is not cartridge based also the optical disk was new for nintendo developers. Thats why. Hope you just learned something.

I grew up on the old 16-bit consoles. Never thought I'd ever really enjoy a 3D console as much as I did the SNES/Genesis. (I missed out on the N64 era).

Then I got a Gamecube. Even though I have a Wii now, nothing beats playing my library on the original.

Maybe its the nostalgia that makes me like it so much (LIke most people with the n64) but this console is one of the best, with tak : staff of dreams, super mario sunshine, luigis mansion, wind waker, melee , zelda master collection, mario kart, the BEST animal crossing, God I could go on forever. gamecube dose NOT SUCK

I love the gamecube, still play it everyday. I got mine when i was 7 turning 8, and i got it on my birthday(it was also my first system.) ill never forget when it was ruling my life, when i would come home , play mario kart dd, ssbm, madden 05-08, super mario sunshine, and tons of others. My friends and i would play this when they came over and we would drink dr pepper, chips and all that good stuff. lol. Ahh the gamecube, so many memories

Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were originally Sega Dreamcast titles, thus the gamecube versions were only ports.

I remember that menu song from my purple gamecube which broke :( at least I have a silver one :D I played Super Monkey ball, Sonic Heroes, Hello Kitty Roller Rescue, Frogger Beyond, Pikmin, SSBM, Kirby Airride, Super Monkey ball 2, Pikmin 2, Super Mario Sunshine, Rugrats Royal Ransom, and a lot more.
