  • I knew Namingways were Aliens!

  • I remember the first time I walked into that room, didn't know what the hell was going on. The thing is, namingway is actually supposed to a giant talking rabbit. It's actually a reference to the japanese myth about rabbits who live on the moon and make mochi. Somehow, I don't think that seeing a room full of moon rabbits would have made any less sense then seeing a room full of namingways. Nice scream by the way.

  • Before you venture much further you defiantly want to go with FuSoYa back into the cave of the summon god on the moon, it's the small mountain surrounded by a rind shaped mountain. Remember like I said Reflect is the way to beat that boss on floor 2

A warning also about the last boss he has an attack called Big Bang. It causes the scene to flash a lot with a lot of colors so if there's an issue with that you might wanna close your eyes. (Cont >>>)

  • @Raditz86 I don't have health issues like that and it is enough for me to see spots and fill a little off. Fortunately he only uses it every three or four turns.

  • edges battle sprite keeps reminding me of professor oak. its uncanny

  • Bah, grinding for levels is boring and just takes away the challenge. When it comes to Final Fantasy, clever use of all your spells will allow you to succeed even at lower than intended levels.

  • 9:31 Fourth planet = Mars; fifth = Jupiter. Remember what's between them? The asteroid belt. In the real world, there was once a theory that the asteroid belt is the remains of a destroyed planet.

10:42 You should have seen this coming. It's actually a pretty common plot twist in FF games.

14:32 Uh, don't you mean you're going to return to Earth? You know, so you can stop the Giant?! But as others have said, you might think about the Phantom God before that.

  • You missed two Humingways. One of them is an actual Namingway and the other one sells items. One of the items he sells is Elixirs, which are REALLY expensive.

Oh, and one other thing. Longest introduction ever.... LAWL!

  • go after Phantom Beast God now that you have FuSoYa.

  • The Odin summon is more/less like a mulit-target insta-kill spell! :D

  • The whole point in leveling up/ getting useful spells to exploit weaknesses is to remove the high luck requisite of a certain situation. In my opinion, your defeat of Odin came from luck that you got in that extra hit before he completely took out your party. For instance, without more powerful party members the final boss will absolutely devastate them. You've already seen Meteo. The final boss has this, and other multi-targetting, highly powerful options at its disposal. Higher level = more HP

  • 11:35

  • Now Superjeenius's father is Mufasa

  • All of the recent LP's of this game have made me realize just how much I HATE it's plot xD It's just one cliche after another. It's fun and everything, but sooo damn stupid.

  • Not sure if you knew this or if someone said it already, but Odin OHKO's stuff, but it's a chance, obviously.

  • Regarding the "fail" around 7:50, Odin fizzles sometimes. In VII, they changed it to do a "compensation" attack (Gungnir) if it fizzled, but here it just sometimes will do nothing, generally if the enemies are too much above your level. Or a boss.

Also, that panel -might- not work right now, but if it does, don't use it. You need to return to the Earth and attack the Tower of Babel.

  • So when FuSoYa was really young and his Mom would call him down for dinner, did she call out "FUUUUUUU" I wonder?

  • @NintendoCapriSun mind = blow.

  • You should find Namingway and rename "FuSoYa" to "Fus Doh Rah" as a reference to Skyrim

  • That kind of reaction is what makes a blind run so great.

  • I love these episodes but some times you go so long between them I forget ware you left off from. BTW I love hearing your mind get blown. As for Odin what he does only works occasionally try using him on other monster combos.

  • In NintendoCapriSun's LP, at this point, he was kinda pointing out the cliches in the plot at this point. However, your reaction was so amazing, it kinda restored my faith in the strength of Final Fantasy 4's plot, from your amazement that Golbez wasn't the villain to Cecil's identity ("AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" screamed Jake as he started to turn into an Animorph again).

  • I KNEW that once you have the Excalibur, you could defeat Odin, even with only four party members and no Bolt 3. Great job! :D

  • Oh, the actual CASTING of Odin uses the name Zantetsuken, but the attack when battling Odin is translated. That's rather odd.

  • DONT GO INTO THE MOON yet also look for the smiley face on the moon

  • FuSoYa's pretty powerful with the levels you're at right now, but like Tellah he doesn't have any stat growth when he levels, so he'll pretty much be at 190mp forever.

  • superjeenius has found the nameingway breeding ground!

  • Zantetsuken typically causes instant death to all targets, though in later games Odin appears it also does very high damage to them. What makes the move unique is the death animation it gives. However, as you experienced, the attack can fail which i believe is base on how high rydia wisdom is.

  • Odin has a chance of insta-killing everything on the screen but i THINK it MIGHT only work on lower level monsters or at least thats what it seems like on the DS version of this

  • Wow im ten levels higher on all party members in the DS version and i

    Havent event gotten the ship

  • I think that the Odin summon is an insta-kill but it doesn't always work.

  • @jfsalaba From what i've seen of this game I think you're right.

  • I am loving this LP so far, but I really feel like you should have a menu at the end for a playlist and the next and previous episodes.

  • No, you won't be descending into the moon. You'll be going to the Tower of Babil. Silly Superjeenius.

  • I love your reactions to plot twists. :)

  • Its acually FusRoDah!

  • when i saw the title on my ipod an hour ago i was all like"that sounds a lot like FUS RO DAH"!! and i cant wait to go home and watch it.

  • Fantastic job beating Odin without Bolt 3. Well done! Also, you are right about the Meat Cleaver being a thrown weapon - amusingly, in the first version of FF4 we got in North America that item is called the Spoon. It should pretty much always do 9999 damage, so make sure you use it on a boss that is really ticking you off.

  • After seeing the description for the meat cleaver, I thought it was a weapon for one of the women.

  • One of those "namingways" (I think that's how it's spelled) sells really good healing items.

That's the purpose of the cave.

  • I can't wait for your reaction to something later on. You thought your mind was blown wait you have not seen anything yet. Odin is supposed to come in and one shot enemies but it doesn't always work.

  • USE. SLOW. ON BOSSES. PLEASE.

    D:<

  • @ghitarnuub whay he said slow is your best friend in this game seriously ;)

  • And you really should try going into the cave of the phantom god now.

I't won't be easy but damn it's worth it.

  • Ya, I felt the same way my first playthrough... And I was 9

  • FU SO YA! xD

  • Oh and check this out Phaeton (hypothetical planet) on Wikipedia

  • One of the hummingways has a shop. He's wandering around in the cave somewhere

  • Awsome Vid Man Keep Up The Good Work :)

  • 11:37 oh my gosh I laughed so much at your reaction haha

  • going into this video i actually thought that in the tital you where only referecing fush roh da not that it was a name

  • wow you were really ectatic about FusRoDah... I mean FuSoYa being powerful.

  • Great video, nice reactions.

Also, don't go to the Lunar Core just yet. Go back to Earth for an important event first. As FuSoYa said, hurry to the Tower of Babil.

  • Thank you for making me deaf

  • After two and a half minutes and you didn't introduce yourself? WHAT IF THERE WERE NEW SUBSCRIBERS?! (haha, just pulling your leg there, eh? You were busy...)

"Hello, Old man...Star man man man!" Haha! That's funny.

  • Zantetsuken doesn't always work. Odin's actually pretty crappy.

  • Zantetsuken has a 50% chance of instantly killing all enemies on the screen, SuperJeenius.

  • Comment removed

  • You and NCS are my favorite LPers atm :)
