This is one of the biggest loads of bull shit I've ever seen. People always love the company until they have a complaint and find out how open that door really is. Bunch of scabs.
Are people really this stupid? No company cares about its employees. They care about the dollar. If they can outsource your job, fire and rehire at lower wage, or just eliminate your job all together, THEY WILL! People are so naive and need to wake up
Oh Boy. All the union bashers have no clue as to what's really going on. Airlines can't afford to pay workers more than they are worth? You're right. So why are the airline execs getting paid more than they deserve? I don't hear you complaining about that. The line employees are making less than they were two decades ago. If you don't want to fight for your rights, that's your business, but the unions aren't the root of our problems in this country. Corporate greed is the real problem.
CASE POINT #1: I was a decorated flight attendant at my airline, then a co-worker set-out to get me fired. She filed Harassment chargers against me that were false, and My UNION proved my case..... still employed!

The NW F/A ask us what kind of drugs are we on , we love our job and it shows... we are not a number like a lot of people try to say ( afa supporters) people wake up AFA just want our money thats all ............
sorry. unions are not the root of all evil. nice attempt though. it's pretty obvious to the dwindling middle class that corporate greed is what's crippling the american economy. if you want the unions gone, you may as well kiss the middle class goodbye.
Bullshit! Unionized employees provide far better service. If you don't have a union, you don't have a voice, a contract, job security, etc... Most companies could care less about their employees, you have to bargain and negotiate a fair working agreement, and you need the structure of a union to do it. I hope Delta becomes all Union, Union, Union, and finally gets rid of that stupid southern right-to-work culture they have once and for all!
How can you people trash the UNION. You have no say in anything at your work place. Do you DELTA employees know that DICK ANDERSON was our former CEO at Northwest Airlines and take a look at all the shit he took from us, you think he's not going to that to you. Look at the history of this guy he was one of the lawyers that broke up Eastern Airlines. Open your eyes people DICK ANDERSON is only out for himself and his cronies.. Ask DICK how many times has he walked the RAMP in DTW, NOT ONCE..
@DjRoach313 I fully agree, at NW he broke up AMFA, and as for DL they are based in the SOUTH so it's a bunch of rednecks in the south that are saying they'll take away our freedom

sorry, but UNION EMPLOYEES SUCK in comparison, their attitude is horrible and anti-company, anti-customer... it is selfish and greedy!
JUST SAY NO TO THE UNION--- THEY SUCK YOUR MONEY, USE IT FOR POLITICAL EXPENSES THAT DON'T REPRESENT YOU....
I am a Delta employee, worked union at Western and NW has the same shitty attitude... Delta employees are way more cooperative than NW crews... sorry but that is the truth -- SCREW THE UNION!
@Baadj5 Where I worked it was the opposite, but that's because all the Delta guys got fired and rehired at minimum wage by a outsource outfit that Delta had decided to go with to save money. They didn't have an entity to represent them and negotiate with the company, and the company screwed them. You care about the company a little less when you see how much the company cares about you.
@agadhahab1 True. The male flight attendents from Pan Am had to come in to be "inspected" to make sure they weren't too gay to continue to work with Delta.
best crew ,,,ya ok our nwa pilots got scare when they had to fly a delta aircraft they say they look like crap nwa aircrafts are better than dl planes A330-200-300 than any 767 old crapy voice delta employers have no voice yes open door going in when you come out is because you are fireunion is better you get work rules what managers can do and what they can't do at delta manager take our overtime away by they doing aour job by being on our de-icers trucks
@nlsnprtll I am for the unions for DL but NW and DL have the 752 in common so what's the difference between the two, and their MD80 and 90s are really rge same as a DC-9 in a way, and I call it even for the A320 family and the 737s that Delta has.
@VFA103JollyRogers NWA has the 757-300 the airbus 330-330 and airbus330-200 also the 747 thats a big diference i work the delta 767 those are realy bad nothing works all beat up we NWA had beter aircrafts than delta about UNION YES AMERICA WORKS BETER WHEN WE SAY UNION YES
@VFA103JollyRogers you have obviously never worked in a 737 galley or a MD88/90. it cant compare, dc9's dont go past the Rockies, neither should md88/90's
It is an anti-union video. They tell everyone to NOT vote....let the silence be deafening. Fine....then our company will fail because a union will give them structure, which we desperately need. Otherwise we are going down. Ask our customers....
The Delta difference is that Delta is never on time. The direct relationship to the customer is one of misconnections. Unions keep structure within a company....Delta needs structure or it won't survive. To say that unions make a company less than stellar is, frankly, just ignorant. This video is ridiculous. Every airline I know of was taken care of during 911. AND the mgt. team definitely is telling people NOT to vote. That is in direct violation of the law..DL believes it's above the law.
is funny you can,t talk about union on delta you can,t put on you IAM Tshirt on but you can have and outlaw biker tshirt a hellangel tshirt delta realy sucks dear delta employes smart up
@nlsnprtll Yea, my mom (also a member of the IAM, and is still working at DL) is trying to organize DL right now and me and her are so glad that the NMB changed the rules on votes
no union no sick time .... yes delta employers don,t have sick time why .because they have no union if they did they would get pay when you get sick but no is not our delta is richar s delta smart up delta employes are you happy with a hotdog on 4 the julio
Shameless right wing propaganda from elitist ceo's making millions of bucks off of their workers backs. Truly a transparent and disgusting piece of rhetoric. I will never fly delta until a union is place. They could really learn a few lessons from the unionized front line employees at Northwest Airlines. delta just can't compare.
Nothing like right wing fascist propaganda spewed from an elitist CEO's perspective. This shameless piece of rhetoric has convinced me to NEVER FLY DELTA UNTIL A UNION IS IN PLACE! All my best to the professional and efficient Northwest employees. Northwest Airlines is greatly missed, and Delta just can't compare.
If the union numbers matched what they were in the 60s we wouldn't have the health care and economic crisis we have now. Workers would be making more money to spend and more would have health care. Without union representation companies pay and offer whatever benefits they choose to. They do it to make a bigger profit for a small number of already wealthy people by hurting a large number of poor people.
I will never willingly join the union. All a Union is, is another tax on my pay check. Unions care more about lineing there pockets with dues money then the people they claim to protect. Example. The NMB is changing the elections rules from a majority to a minority. Which means a minority of people can control a hole work group. I work for DL so I know what I'm talking about.
We have great benefits already. The added costs of a union strain would force not only my airline, but all other US. airlines to lay off more people forcing more people on unemployment. If unions think they are such a great thing for people, they would not be in such a rush to change the voting rules from majorty to a minority
Wrong again my friend. You have been brainwashed into thinking that unions give a crap about the people they claim to represent. No no They only care about how much of your money they can stick into there pockets. I've worked in unions long enough to know that
Well the difference is YOU vote for who runs the union, and that person / group of people have a lot more power in terms of negotiating with your bosses than you do.
This "our delta" is, sadly, bullshit. It's "our delta" if "we" own stock in the company. If you make delta better, and your wages stay the same (i.e. you get no benefit from making delta better) is it really "your" delta?
@pete5668 I know, If they thought they were such a great thing they would not have to force people to join in order to get or keep there job. Just another added tax on my check if they get voted in. Let the union run there own airline if they think they know how to run it so well.
really so you like being pushed around by a corparten. i bet you did'nt even know that in a compny that is not union they can fire you cuz they don't like you or cuz your not working fast enogh also pay you under the leagl wage
@wg40504 I work for Delta now too, I'm a pre-merger NWA employee, the Union isn't forcing you to do anything, all the NMB is saying that the responsible people that get out and vote deserve the decision that comes from that vote. Why should an individual who won't take the time to vote be rewarded, by voting you create your own work enviroment.
@Lajohnson42 If you want to make this a fair process, give term limits and force the unions to stand for re-election. Even under the new rules of approved, the process is still not democratic because unions have no term limits and do not have to stand for re-election. So keep the rules as they are if those changes are not made as well. Under the new rules there shoud be a process to vote the union out if a work group decides they do not want the union anymore.
@wg40504 Why would you want to vote a union out once you achieve the goal of having one, if you don't like what the union is doing, stop complaining and get involved, that's the whole problem, people don't want to get involved, they didn't want to even have to go out and vote. Unionization is about joining together to make the work enviroment fair for everyone.
40 years as mechanic, most of it a t Eastern. We walked picket lines in order to get raises. Afterwards Delta gave in to raises for their mechanics. If you think Delta was concerned about thier employees your dreaming.
i agree i work at a food store and people do not realse if unions are good all those benfiets like health care with be taken away by these big compnys like delta

Unions are one of the root problems with our economy today. why do you think corporations were forced to outsource jobs ? because they couldn't afford to pay people more than they are worth. it's bad business and ultimately that's their job, to make money not to give you a place to go to work
Their job is to get people from point A to point B via air travel, which they can't do if the people that keep their operation running can't survive on what they make.
Your missing the big picture. here is an example. If McDonalds employees were to unionize and get "what they need to survive" a big Mac would cost you twenty buck's. You would probably stop eating at McDonalds. same rule applies to airlines. .If it costs to much to fly, people wont fly. Airline goes bankrupt ,simple math
@agadhahab1 It is not your employer's job to PROVIDE you with a high standard of living. It is YOUR JOB to provide YOURSELF with the highest standard of living you can, doing the best you can. If you don't like the employer, no one is pointing a gun at you to stay with them.
@pete5668 Umm, there aren't that many jobs out there so in between starving/not paying rent and other issues of the sort, I wouldn't exactly boast about a missing gun.
@pete5668 You hear me whining, motherfucker? I DID go out and find a new job. Since leaving NWA (pre-merger) I've managed to create a (barely) successful business, and to call it a viable alternative if your current job doesn't "suit" you (whatever the fuck that means) is insane. Getting things to the point where I could even support myself was 20% backbreaking work and 80% blind shithouse luck. It's like a lottery winner telling someone that buying lottery tickets was a great way to succeed.
@agadhahab1 It is interesting how quickly you descend into a foul-mouthed diatribe. Getting your business to "the point where you could even support yourself" takes a lot more than 20% backbreaking work. Perhaps you should have worked harder and not sat back waiting for the 80% blind luck you speak of. It takes 100% backbreaking work. That is where you went wrong.
@pete5668 Come on, Starting a business doesn't mean you will be successful. It doesn't mean you won't be living in debt. It doesn't mean you don't have to feed yourself and possibly others in your care, as well as provide shelter, healthcare, etc.
And of course, why would I stop being a slave to become a master? Two sides of the same coin.
@adryroseinbloom You are right that starting a business does not mean that you will be successful, as there are no guarantees in life. Yes, you have to find a way to feed yourself in the meantime (waiting tables, delivering pizzas, working with temp agencies, etc.). I don't know why you wouldn't want to "stop being a slave to become a master." Wouldn't that be the goal?
@pete5668 The thing is, we have solved the bread problem and the only reason poverty and all this stress over survival exists is because we allow profit-driven organizations to make up pseudo-needs and to waste much human labor on pointless endeavors. We create poverty by believing in the inherent goodness of the market.
Collective ownership and management of the means of production is the only way to ensure that classes do not exist and that everyone has access to what humans have a right to.
Then explain all of the non-unionized companies that go out of business? Take Circuit City for example. You can't blame a labor union for their ills. So, what's your excuse for that one?
Mismanagement ! ther are alot of reasons a company can have financial troubles. I never said unions were the only problem with the economy, i said it was a root problem
How is it a root problem? Only 13% of workers are in a union.
Only a tiny fraction of what we buy is substantially dependent on salaries paid to minimum wage workers. The price of a Big Mac might go up a little, but a McDonalds faces many costs such as rent, food and franchise fees, so even at McDonalds, the classic example of a business that relies heavily on minimum wage labor, such labor is only a partial component of the cost of its products.
that bill shit and you know it cuz they do that cuz the want to do it so they can my more money for less. and i bet you did not even know that alot of these corporations that outsoured jobs wer sent to palces like china were the worker are slaves.
@MrCourtdar It's not bad business because people here in America want rights as a worker and look trough out history at how many people wanted unions and a VOICE as an employee. I have experience with unions, because one of my family members is in a union from Northwest. So I suggest that you do a little research
@VFA103JollyRogers I have done plenty of research. I have owned a construction for 20 years. My best friend is the president of the local, brick layers and tile setters Union. Therefore, i have had plenty of first hand experience with Unions. If a person is not happy with his employer or his pay, then its up to them to improve their own situation That's what this country is all about even if the union tells you otherwise. They want to keep them dues rolling in
@MrCourtdar companies outsource jobs to prop up their bottom lines and save money. they dont do it because they cant afford unions...get your facts right
@marzilyas I have first hand knowledge of what Delta employees make and it's anything but a sweat shop. I own a non union construction company and i pay my employees the same rate as the unions do , and they don't have to pay union dues out of that. If people don't like their jobs or pay, then they can start their own business like i did. I will NEVER punch a time clock for anybody again. That's the American dream, not working your life away for somebody else !
@MrCourtdar " I own a non union construction company and i pay my employees the same rate as the unions do , and they don't have to pay union dues out of that."
You don't see the irony in this? If it weren't for the unions NO ONE would be paying the union rate. So your employees are benefiting from the work of the union to fight for a better wage & they are getting a free ride - that is until the day you decide you can't or don't want to pay them the union rate.
Northwest in reality bought out Delta but since the "Delta" name is more well known the Delta name will stay. Delta says that they didn't interfere with delta's flight attendant votes, but is that true hell no!!!!
why is richar anderson so afraid to the union why? be cause he cares only for him he does not care for his employes be smart vote union you can;t buy me ewith hot dogs every somer richar
Unions are obsolete. Unions basically are a way to force companies to pay more for labor than what it is actually worth. They ultimately drive companies into the ground. Think GM.
Give me a break whoever posted this has edited it to bash Delta, that is not even everyones real voice. they have cut and paste different audio onto this video. Its so obvious, Either way Delta does do right by us. The threat of a union is far greater than actually having a union. They give us everything we want because they know if they didnt the unions would try and organize again
Fucking Dick Anderson he was THE CEO FOR NORTHWEST and THEY HAVE FUCKING UNIONS!!!!!!!!!!!! SO WHO THE HELL IS HE TRYING TO FUCKING FOOL THE STUPID ASS
I left Delta 6 months ago I can assure you that they take advantage of their employees in light of this economy. THEY DO NEED TO UNIONIZE. This management team is literally breaking the backs of their employees, Oh and by the way did you see the salaries they give themselves. I am a college graduate, worked there for 4 years and made $13.07 per hour. I can assure you..They need a Union
yes be smart vote union you get healt care and more or will you be happy with a hot dog every some or a chesse burger be smart delta people richar anderson is real bad ceo but you will see if the union does not get in
Mr. Anderson invokes Mr. Woolman's name. I hope he really understands what C.E. Woolman believed about employees and customers. As a Delta flyer and Delta supporter, I am watching.
Ask your NWA fliers how he habdle them. Ask the State of Minnesota and the City of Atlanta how he handles them. Delta used to do business with a hand shake. With Anderson now in charge they better check for their wristwatch after the deal, Woolman would take Anderson out back to whip his arse.
Unions in and of themselves are neither good nor evil. Southwest is the most heavily unionized of the larger carriers in the US and they have never come close to filing bankruptcy while Delta is the least unionized of the larger carriers in the US and they filed for bankruptcy and stripped their employees of pay, vacation and pensions while at American the unions worked with the company to save $1.8 billion a year and have that company be the only legacy carrier to never be bankrupt.
Why does R. Aanderson say that Delta Flight Attendants are the best in the industry??? Last time I flew with them, they treated me very bad. They were not smiling, friendly, nothing. In the contrary, they looked at me like if I was inferior in comparisson to them. How can a flight attendant be really good and make the passengers feel not welcomed and inferior in comparisson to them???

I love reading the Union supporters' feedback, so typical! Fear and lies fill your comments. Delta (non union) buys Northwest (union) and the Northwest employees are the ones who are mad and detached from the company. Unions have destroyed the airlines and auto industry. VOTE NO!!
Delta workers better wake up, as soon as Anderson can get rid of the Unions the layoffs will start! Everyone knows the companies are top heavy with front-line workers, no Union means no jobs!
I love how Delta is courting NWA employee with Fly TOGETHER crap....then they turn around and create a video like this, literally slagging off NWA employees for their union loyalties...Implying that unionzed employees are somehow less loyal and less caring towards their airline, or each other. They then talk about how much better Delta Employees have it because of their lack of unions in their work lives.....Anyone been to Montreal or Toronto lately all Delta employee fired and handler hired
The Male Caucasian lied during 911 American Airlines took care and was in contact with all its crews. Took care of all there expenses while crews were stuck places during the terrorist attack, American did a terrific job. Buddy speak only about Delta, do not speak lies about other carriers.
Unions can be a great thing- at least with good intentions- but more often today, unions are simply out for more power, more control, and more skimming off the top of the employees wages. Delta employees (except for piots) continuously- year after year- have voted a resounding NO NO NO to unionization and that says something.
It seems all of the negativity is coming from the NWA side.... and I understand that mentality- but Delta is a different company altogether- propaganda or no propaganda- delta employees have voted NO to unionization for decades now- and NWA employees will come to understand that Delta does not operate the "throw the employees under the bus" mentality-
That is not exactly correct. Of the people who actually CAST a democratic ballot the support for union was greater. The non-cast ballots were counted as no, assuming that was the voters intent, sort of like a dangling chad. No where else can you find this as an acceptable practice for conducting a vote.
So to counter your claim, of the votes CAST, the majority was IN FAVOR of a union.
No.... Spoiled little brats who think they are smart because mommy and daddy paid for their Harvard Business Degree and never worked a day in their life....They destroy everything.
@HughieGphiladelphia I think you are thinking of Ted Kennedy, a Democrat. I think you are thinking of Barack Obama, or Barry Soetoro, or whatever his name is this week. Those are the "spoiled brats" you speak of.
The Delta family is like a cousin that asks for money when out of cash. I don't go to work to be part of a "family". I go to work to make money for my family. Richard Anderson amd Joanne Smith both have contracts that guaranty benefits and salery. They are good through the good and the bad. I am tired of the airlines taking from my family to help people like Rich and Joanne, or as you call them, "the Delta Family".
Unions are evil. Only 8% of rpivate sector workers are unioned. This number has been going down every year. Unions use propaganda to get simpleminds to think unions are a good thing.
I just watched this video-although I am not a FA I'm a Res agent who really believes that ANY company who would spend millions to fight something that isn't in the employee's best interest? If a union is so awful for an employee why would they fight it? I realize maybe the AFA isn't the best-I don't know but dear Lord get a union it protects you!!! I truly appreciate the IAM has my back and will fight to protect ME. Anderson has a contract so should you! Union's empty promises-you mean Anderson!
DL F/As are soo annoying. They think they work for the best airline in the world when all they work for is a bankrupt legacy carrier. Also, they think there "new uniforms" are the hottest runway fashion when all they look like is a bath robe.

I hate when a private business says its the employees company.
Do they all get a share of the profit? Or only middle management up?
Hows the gap between the top and bottom there?
How much company decision making actually happens?
I have worked at quite a few companies who make that claim and its never true.
Any company that needs to sell itself to the employees through talk isnt doing it through action so its not worth anything.

They didn't have an entity to represent them and negotiate with the company, and the company screwed them. You care about the company a little less when you see how much the company cares about you.
agadhahab1 1 year ago 3
@agadhahab1 True. The male flight attendents from Pan Am had to come in to be "inspected" to make sure they weren't too gay to continue to work with Delta.

@nlsnprtll I am for the unions for DL but NW and DL have the 752 in common so what's the difference between the two, and their MD80 and 90s are really rge same as a DC-9 in a way, and I call it even for the A320 family and the 737s that Delta has.

It is an anti-union video. They tell everyone to NOT vote....let the silence be deafening. Fine....then our company will fail because a union will give them structure, which we desperately need. Otherwise we are going down. Ask our customers....
kimdegaulle 1 year ago
The Delta difference is that Delta is never on time. The direct relationship to the customer is one of misconnections. Unions keep structure within a company....Delta needs structure or it won't survive. To say that unions make a company less than stellar is, frankly, just ignorant. This video is ridiculous. Every airline I know of was taken care of during 911. AND the mgt. team definitely is telling people NOT to vote. That is in direct violation of the law..DL believes it's above the law.

MrChrisnyc1 1 year ago
Nothing like right wing fascist propaganda spewed from an elitist CEO's perspective. This shameless piece of rhetoric has convinced me to NEVER FLY DELTA UNTIL A UNION IS IN PLACE! All my best to the professional and efficient Northwest employees. Northwest Airlines is greatly missed, and Delta just can't compare.

Cino1 1 year ago
If the union numbers matched what they were in the 60s we wouldn't have the health care and economic crisis we have now. Workers would be making more money to spend and more would have health care. Without union representation companies pay and offer whatever benefits they choose to. They do it to make a bigger profit for a small number of already wealthy people by hurting a large number of poor people.
lozgod 1 year ago
I will never willingly join the union. All a Union is, is another tax on my pay check. Unions care more about lineing there pockets with dues money then the people they claim to protect. Example. The NMB is changing the elections rules from a majority to a minority. Which means a minority of people can control a hole work group. I work for DL so I know what I'm talking about.
wg40504 2 years ago
Lol, the 30% higher wages and benefits will cover for those dues more than tenfold.
SamLowry99 2 years ago 2
We have great benefits already. The added costs of a union strain would force not only my airline, but all other US. airlines to lay off more people forcing more people on unemployment. If unions think they are such a great thing for people, they would not be in such a rush to change the voting rules from majorty to a minority
wg40504 2 years ago
you are brain washed by this company becuse you buy this crap about and faile to realzie that the union give you protecton form corpraton.
regaj19 2 years ago
Wrong again my friend. You have been brainwashed into thinking that unions give a crap about the people they claim to represent. No no They only care about how much of your money they can stick into there pockets. I've worked in unions long enough to know that
wg40504 2 years ago
Well the difference is YOU vote for who runs the union, and that person / group of people have a lot more power in terms of negotiating with your bosses than you do.
This "our delta" is, sadly, bullshit. It's "our delta" if "we" own stock in the company. If you make delta better, and your wages stay the same (i.e. you get no benefit from making delta better) is it really "your" delta?

regaj19 2 years ago
@wg40504 I work for Delta now too, I'm a pre-merger NWA employee, the Union isn't forcing you to do anything, all the NMB is saying that the responsible people that get out and vote deserve the decision that comes from that vote. Why should an individual who won't take the time to vote be rewarded, by voting you create your own work enviroment.
Lajohnson42 1 year ago
@Lajohnson42 If you want to make this a fair process, give term limits and force the unions to stand for re-election. Even under the new rules of approved, the process is still not democratic because unions have no term limits and do not have to stand for re-election. So keep the rules as they are if those changes are not made as well. Under the new rules there shoud be a process to vote the union out if a work group decides they do not want the union anymore.
wg40504 1 year ago
@wg40504 Why would you want to vote a union out once you achieve the goal of having one, if you don't like what the union is doing, stop complaining and get involved, that's the whole problem, people don't want to get involved, they didn't want to even have to go out and vote. Unionization is about joining together to make the work enviroment fair for everyone.
Lajohnson42 1 year ago

Unions are one of the root problems with our economy today. why do you think corporations were forced to outsource jobs ? because they couldn't afford to pay people more than they are worth. it's bad business and ultimately that's their job, to make money not to give you a place to go to work
MrCourtdar 2 years ago
Their job is to get people from point A to point B via air travel, which they can't do if the people that keep their operation running can't survive on what they make.
agadhahab1 2 years ago 2
Your missing the big picture. here is an example. If McDonalds employees were to unionize and get "what they need to survive" a big Mac would cost you twenty buck's. You would probably stop eating at McDonalds. same rule applies to airlines. .If it costs to much to fly, people wont fly. Airline goes bankrupt ,simple math
MrCourtdar 2 years ago
@agadhahab1 It is not your employer's job to PROVIDE you with a high standard of living. It is YOUR JOB to provide YOURSELF with the highest standard of living you can, doing the best you can. If you don't like the employer, no one is pointing a gun at you to stay with them.
pete5668 1 year ago

@agadhahab1 If you hate your job, get another one and quit whining.
pete5668 6 months ago
@pete5668 You hear me whining, motherfucker? I DID go out and find a new job. Since leaving NWA (pre-merger) I've managed to create a (barely) successful business, and to call it a viable alternative if your current job doesn't "suit" you (whatever the fuck that means) is insane. Getting things to the point where I could even support myself was 20% backbreaking work and 80% blind shithouse luck. It's like a lottery winner telling someone that buying lottery tickets was a great way to succeed.
agadhahab1 6 months ago
@agadhahab1 It is interesting how quickly you descend into a foul-mouthed diatribe. Getting your business to "the point where you could even support yourself" takes a lot more than 20% backbreaking work. Perhaps you should have worked harder and not sat back waiting for the 80% blind luck you speak of. It takes 100% backbreaking work. That is where you went wrong.
pete5668 6 months ago
@pete5668 Come on, Starting a business doesn't mean you will be successful. It doesn't mean you won't be living in debt. It doesn't mean you don't have to feed yourself and possibly others in your care, as well as provide shelter, healthcare, etc.
And of course, why would I stop being a slave to become a master? Two sides of the same coin.
adryroseinbloom 6 months ago

Roguemember 2 years ago
Mismanagement ! ther are alot of reasons a company can have financial troubles. I never said unions were the only problem with the economy, i said it was a root problem
MrCourtdar 2 years ago
How is it a root problem? Only 13% of workers are in a union.
Only a tiny fraction of what we buy is substantially dependent on salaries paid to minimum wage workers. The price of a Big Mac might go up a little, but a McDonalds faces many costs such as rent, food and franchise fees, so even at McDonalds, the classic example of a business that relies heavily on minimum wage labor, such labor is only a partial component of the cost of its products.
Roguemember 2 years ago
that bill shit and you know it cuz they do that cuz the want to do it so they can my more money for less. and i bet you did not even know that alot of these corporations that outsoured jobs wer sent to palces like china were the worker are slaves.
regaj19 2 years ago
@MrCourtdar It's not bad business because people here in America want rights as a worker and look trough out history at how many people wanted unions and a VOICE as an employee. I have experience with unions, because one of my family members is in a union from Northwest. So I suggest that you do a little research
VFA103JollyRogers 1 year ago
@VFA103JollyRogers I have done plenty of research. I have owned a construction for 20 years. My best friend is the president of the local, brick layers and tile setters Union. Therefore, i have had plenty of first hand experience with Unions. If a person is not happy with his employer or his pay, then its up to them to improve their own situation That's what this country is all about even if the union tells you otherwise. They want to keep them dues rolling in
MrCourtdar 1 year ago
@MrCourtdar companies outsource jobs to prop up their bottom lines and save money. they dont do it because they cant afford unions...get your facts right

@MrCourtdar so the solution is to have sweatshops in America? Great idea! Let's get some of your kids or grandkids in there!
marzilyas 10 months ago
@marzilyas I have first hand knowledge of what Delta employees make and it's anything but a sweat shop. I own a non union construction company and i pay my employees the same rate as the unions do , and they don't have to pay union dues out of that. If people don't like their jobs or pay, then they can start their own business like i did. I will NEVER punch a time clock for anybody again. That's the American dream, not working your life away for somebody else !
MrCourtdar 10 months ago
@MrCourtdar " I own a non union construction company and i pay my employees the same rate as the unions do , and they don't have to pay union dues out of that."
You don't see the irony in this? If it weren't for the unions NO ONE would be paying the union rate. So your employees are benefiting from the work of the union to fight for a better wage & they are getting a free ride - that is until the day you decide you can't or don't want to pay them the union rate.

Unions can be a great thing- at least with good intentions- but more often today, unions are simply out for more power, more control, and more skimming off the top of the employees wages. Delta employees (except for piots) continuously- year after year- have voted a resounding NO NO NO to unionization and that says something.
JerryGarciafan 3 years ago
It seems all of the negativity is coming from the NWA side.... and I understand that mentality- but Delta is a different company altogether- propaganda or no propaganda- delta employees have voted NO to unionization for decades now- and NWA employees will come to understand that Delta does not operate the "throw the employees under the bus" mentality-
JerryGarciafan 3 years ago
That is not exactly correct. Of the people who actually CAST a democratic ballot the support for union was greater. The non-cast ballots were counted as no, assuming that was the voters intent, sort of like a dangling chad. No where else can you find this as an acceptable practice for conducting a vote.
So to counter your claim, of the votes CAST, the majority was IN FAVOR of a union.
