All I can say is what happens if you are in the tank? Labelling religion as being 'not the real world' automatically filters out things religious people have to say. I think the thought experiment would be better improved by suggesting that both parties don't know what the real world looks like, but instead draw their conclusions from evidences (glitches in the matrix so to speak).
@SPR4GOD Yes I see what you are saying but this is not an argument against belief in God. This is an argument for atheistic evangelisation. It's about how we see you as not being in the real world and we are the people offering you a way out. The point is that if you believe in say, Christianity you will hold that anyone does not believe is going to hell so though I believe this is based on a false premise I understand the reason that you evangelise
