  • Beautiful video. You did great job. Bravo. Anna

  • @hissphillips grmma thank you very much.

  • time marches on for the good and bad leaving behind the dust of our thin memories.hold them tight for they may slip away like the dewdrop in the morning sun.

  • Very heartfelt and passionate rendition man...good stuff...post more please....!!

  • fair play good job

  • If you really want to enjoy Ronnie Drew.

Buy his DVD as He takes us on a Dublin Tour.

  • I can sit and listen to Ronnie sing his renditions of the old Irish music for hours.. His loyality to the Irish music is appreciated and will be remembered for a long time to come.God bless you Ronnie and I am sure He is appreciateingyour music as we all are.

  • good effort not a easy song to sing well done!

  • I personally think the vocals aren't terrible! Not approaching Drew or Kelly, but those guys are legends. Still, very good version!

  • Anyone who sings as well as Luke Kelly or Ronnie Drew deserves a great deal of respect. They're both proper legends.

  • least he gave it a go,good on ya!great pictures of the old girl dublin.

  • Nothin's the same alright. Out here in Australia, Carlton & United Breweries bought the rights to brew Guiness (bottled & kegged). The first thing they did was reduce the alcohol content, and now the lying bastards still swear they haven't changed the recipe.

  • Nobody comes close to Ronnie Drew on this song. Not Luke Kelly or Shane McGowan or even Pavarotti for that matter.

I'd like to hear Johnny McEvoy do it.

I like your rendition though mate. At least you had a go, and it comes straight from your heart with feeling just oozing out of it.

    Cheers.

  • Luke's a long time gone. couldn't get him.

  • beagán is é a rá go maith...

  • Great version of the song! It is the original? Flogging Molly does version of this too.

  • the original was by a fellow called pete st.john. he wrote it back in the early eighties, i think.

  • mícheál ó caoinleain and banna tí.
