@iPig I have never heard of cigarettes having medicinal properties but then maybe I am mistaken, caniabis has many beneficial effects if consumed responsibly as smoke is a toxin to the body no matter what form you take it in, so no they are not the same at all, and this is much of the problem with the way in which certain segments of society demonise things. Outlawing caniabis is part of a political process, I never saw anybody who wants to go out and fight people after a few joints unlike booze

Weed at one time was the number one prescribed cure all, then drug companies got upset cause they weren't making money off of people's illnesses, so they lobbied to make it illegal. Weed is a known cure of asthma because inhaling it and holding it in strengthens your lungs and relaxes you.

Known cure for asthma? Maybe once upon a time, but if you have asthma why would you want to breathe in all the particles from marijuana smoke. That's certainly not helping your lungs. You are better off taking a prescribed stimulant to open your airways.

Marijuana is being tested on cancer patients as an appetite stimulator.

@urianna Same could be said of alcohol, but there appears to be no hurry to outlaw that, and when I think of the broad social disorder and the amont of money that alcohol related crime causes I think there is a rock solid argument to ban it completely, and I would say the only reason it has not already been banned is beacause a) it's primarily a white mans poison, and b) because govermnets everywhere in the western world make colossal amounts of tax revenue from it. @urianna I hear you, and that's a valid point, however all I was trying to say is that if you smoke canniabis then of course it's a toxin to the body, however I know that many claims have been made that it can be beneficial if consumed like a tea, but I have not tried it myself so I cannot say I am certain. No offence intended so accept my apology, just gets my back up when haters condemn weed without condemning alcohol, as I think the later does far more damage to western society. 1 Love.

It contains up to 2x of the polyaromatic hydrocarbons which are carcinogenic, you intake more carbon monoxide, breath in more, hold in longer, dont use a filter its a +6% chance of developing cancer for every year spent smoking cigarettes vs +7% with pot. At the least its as bad, and on the far end is worse.

@Snoopii211 Im not really sure what the point of that video is, and also it blatently lied you can over dose on THC you just need a lot of it more than could reasonably be taken in via smoking. There are lots of benefits to a ton of different chemicals and foods doesn't mean they dont have side effects, Aspirin can kill you, Vitamin A can have your skin peel off your flesh, etc etc. The claim that cannabis does not give you cancer is a lie the debate is over how large of a risk it presents.
