by big she means big-name. donatella only uses the best models of the season, the ones who have made a name for themselves in runway modeling. this is in contrast to prada who frequently uses new, unseasoned girls. walking in the prada show has launched a few careers, but using unexperienced models sometimes results in disastrous runway falls, as we have seen.

With big models I guess they mean tall because I've seen catwalk models that is less bony than these ones. I'm a bony stick myself so I'm not judging, I just thought the word 'big' was a bit weird description on these girls.

I think when Donatella took over in the beginning, she didnt really know what to do. but now she completely cleaned everything up. Its so sophisticated and intricate. I love how she combines simple colors and makes them pop. And the pleats are incredible.

When she took over, not only did she not have the training, but she was in a state of emotional distress. While I have no sympathy for what she did to beautiful fabric at the start, I certainly do feel incredible empathy and sympathy for her personally. It's nice to see her, and the Versace brand, back on stable footing.

Actually, some suggest it was a mafia hit, and Cunanan was a scape goat. It sounds paranoid, but on further inspection, is actually quite reasonable. I was 9 when he was murdered; he (and Tom Ford) was the first thing I understood about fashion. It was upsetting.
