I didn't get that bit, does she take bookings for her neighbors to use her sauna at a certain time?

Is sauna referring to a brothel? - if so, wouldn't be a bit awkward to have neighbours as clientele?

Having a sauna does not automatically equal living in the lap of luxury in all parts of the world. ;) They are from Finland. Saunas are a part of their culture and are very common. Yes, they probably have a communal sauna in their apartment building.

Think of it as some dude hanging around waiting for the machine you're on at the gym, five minutes after you got on it. Or something.
