this is a very touching and unique poem written by neeraj and composed by roshan ! rafi rendered it beautifully by getting into the soul of the song . i remember how we would try to note down the lyrics of this song which had an extra length and more stanzas than the normal . once neeraj said in an interview that his songs were usually very popular but the movies flopped and that is why he slowly stopped writing for the movies .

Hello Yuan and thank you. One of Roshan's golden nuggets. This song was featured in his first record issued in late 1960's. The word is "Guzar" not "Gujhar". "Carvaan guzar gaya, ghubaar dekhtey rahe" closest meanings "The Caravan has gone, leaving behind nothing but dust". The actor Rajeev could be mistaken for Bharat Bhushan. Agree?
