  • @BattleFears no you need a better motherboard here are the cpus it can handle 1: intel celeron 2: intel pentium4 3: intel pentium D dual core hope this helped.

  • why i can't find an intel core i7 for lga775 ??

  • @Panathinaikos1996 becuase lga775 is ancient.

  • @Panathinaikos1996 re file. mipos einai arxaio to LGA775 gia to i7? Iparxoun gia LGA1155, LGA 1366 kai LGA2011.

  • have the same processor but mine is 3.40 gHZ

  • My MotherBoard is D101GGC Socket LGA775.. Will Intel Core 2 Duo LGA775 Support It ?..

  • Comment removed

  • I have a Asus P5LD2 SE motherboard just wondering if it will take a core 2 duo processor?

  • It would be good if you showed how to install the CPU fan, as that's actually more difficult, I think.

  • @mcr314 agreed

  • I can hear you install a intel core duo to my pc 7 qeu what happens is that I have an intel celeron and told me that almost no power or is not compatible with my pc thanks for the video I hope you give me an answer .. bn

  • so i have a discontinued intel board with LGA 775 socket

with a old AtI Radeon Xpress 200.so can intel core 2 quad support it??

    pls reply

  • @qingqingyep Yes.

  • @qingqingyep Yes.

  • A whopping 3.0GHz, only $300!

  • How you "made sure its in the right place" was quite painful to watch :-/

  • cool video

  • wrong handling

  • i have a pentium 4 530. i overclock a tiny bit.

  • what happens if i have the slot with dots going in

  • AMD's sockets are way better!!! intel = 4 extremely annoying pins that bent and bukle your motherbord as you try to push them into it.

AMD = just one simple lever.

  • thanks for the vid

  • Hello!

I am thinking about to upgrade my computer with a new processor (so i can play BF BC2 and GTA IV, without laggs), but i don´t really know what i am searching. I am no "freak" on computers but i have look at the Intel Core 2 Duo and the Core 2 Quad. I don´t want to pay BIG money for a CPU.

But do you think i would be able to play gta iv and bfbc2 with no laggs with an intel core 2 duo and a ATI Radeon HD 4650 graphic card?

  • @worldbmx without lag, a Quad Core. GTAIV needs a quad core.

  • @worldbmx "you dont want to pay big money for a CPU" Forget about GTA IV then. Also, a Radeon 4650 isn't strong enough for GTA IV. Get a AMD Phenom II X4 965/Intel Core i5 750 or higher, and get a Radeon 5850 or higher. About 400 bucks to spend right there. There are no more LGA 775 motherboards, and I dont think any 775 CPUs are on sale. Get 1156, which are i3s and i5. GTA IV requires $600 + hardware to run. The Core 2 Duo won't cut it, and the Core 2 Quads are already old

  • @worldbmx Don't listen to those idiots. you should be able to play GTAIV on medium fine. just turn stuff down.

    Also I'm getting a C2D e6300 and I'm going to Overclock it to 3GHz

  • nice linus brother these types of videos are really nice and usefull thumb up

  • I have a 3.60GHz Pentium 4 CPU using the 775 connection. NOT overclocked.

  • Aw. I wanted to see thermal paste application.. I usually just put a small dab like a grain of rice in the middle and set the cooler on top and have it spread it by itself..

  • go on then give i away i'll have it

  • i got lga775 and intel core 2 extreme and its pretty descent(thats just oen of my computers)

  • 775 was a great socket.

  • 3.0?

    That's faster than my E6750 , LOL

  • @frickfrock999 its only a single core

  • @frickfrock999 but it is single core and only has 1 mb of L2 cache

  • Not sure why you touch the pads on the back of the CPU. You should encourage viewers not to do so -- you may not have oil on you hands but others might, and that's bad.

  • How tech dumb do you have to be to not know how to install a CPU ?

  • lol i loved the fast motion.

  • I still miss LGA775 because it's the only one still got nForce Chipset for Intel platform

  • aah pentium 4 FTW :D

  • Upload a close installion Heatsink installation video... far more a common problem... the stupid pushpins..

  • pentium 4 *shivers*

  • @ahmadclk yea I have e6420 on my hp computer it runs at stock speed 2.13ghz and is 19c on both cores at idle and never goes above 35c. To my suprise hp does not use a stock cooler and uses a low end cooler master cpu cooler. That's probaly why temps are so low.

  • in that a bent pin linus?

  • I need a heater

  • check out my channel Nerro2010 giving away a heatsink for socket 775

  • please make a installation tutorial guide for a super socket 7.

  • Goddamn I miss 775

  • Comment removed

  • why

  • Core 2 Cunt

  • why are you touching the pads that's not good

  • @MultiGeekster its a p4...

  • lol my old board from my other pc that had a Celeron D was a 965 board, now on a G31 with a e5300 @ 3.6Ghz

  • I still have a E8500 Core2duo @ 4ghz

    still runs like a dream

  • @olmatenightfox I really love the core 2 duo series. They are always low in temperature. I have this HP computer that had an E4500 that ran on stock clock @ 2.2 Ghz. It's been running at 35c for 3 years and still going. The average temperature never increased over time. Now I got a new comp with an i7 860, @ average temp its running @ 40c.

  • aww, no heatsink... oh well

  • ...it's not a Core 2 Quad..... Title fail. :P

  • @ShiggityShigg It's an installation guide for core 2 duos and core 2 quads that are 775 socket which is the same as the pentium 4 socket. For Linus's demonstration purposes its the same method of installing any of the core 2 duo or quad processors

  • @atomicfart3514 haha first off nice YouTube name. Second, ah. ok.

  • @ShiggityShigg he meant to do a video on all of the 775 socket processors. some people think it is a different procedure for every processor even though they are on the same socket.

  • third!

    @dan_bss

  • very good!!!

  • isnt this already uploaded?

  • @orochimarusux no that one was corrupted. There were some video artifacts.

  • @LinusTechTips. I have LGA775.Please tell me which processor is best for it?

  • @Rohan47472 The most expensive Quadcore/Core 2 Quad, I assume.

I would really recommend switching to the LGA 1155 platform. Much better CPU's, value and features. The boards aren't so expensive, and the CPU's surely are not.

The highest end Core 2 Quad is way overpriced.
