I was thinking abut going for my license back in 05, but am on psych meds for bi polar disorder, and some of the pilots I know said the meds might be a problem. Anyone know if that's true?
Excellent HD video. Very helpful for us newbies still learning the terminology and common pre-flight/in-flight procedures. I could watch quite a few more just like this. Might be cool to incorporate annotation overlays to expand on adjustments that were made etc. It sounds trivial but I was glad to see a few things like the plane wagging around left-right on take off, and the reminders not to hit the breaks on landing are always welcome ;) I'll be up in a 152 again real soon. Thanks again.
Thank you Dave for this very enjoyable video. For a non-pilot, you seem to have an exceptional amount of knowledge and flying skills as well as an appreciation for flight. Then there's Casey, who seems to have the personality of a doorknob and no matter how good he thinks he is, I wouldn't use his services if he offered them to me for free.
Keep up the good work Dave and I hope every flight you take will be more breathtaking and inspiring than the previous one!
Fantastic video, Dave. I'm into my fourth hour of lessons for my recreational lic, and this was basically the same thing my instructor did the first flight as I've flown Ultra-lites many years ago, and it was in a 152 II as well.
One thing though. TO was for 65-75 knots for you, but my instructor said roll up at 75-80 knots and climb at 75 (650-700FPM discretion)
@TheZentaomanager Thanks for the comments! It's so great to see more people getting out and learning to fly. I have been a huge fan of aviation for as long as I can remember. Keep me posted on your progress!
Cessna 152 is one of my favourite airplanes. This one is very nice :-) I wish I start my PPL soon, now I flying on LSA. Your video is great, from begining, to end. I like, how Americans look to aviation. Enjoy your flight, I wish you CAVOK in your flying time.
@Jelen226 Thanks so much for the comments. One day I would like to become a pilot myself. For now, I just fly in other people's airplanes. Why I finally DO start flight training, I want to get my sport pilots license first. Then I plan to work my way all the way up to CFI. Tailwinds!
Is there any reason why he's not wearing his seatbelt?..
