After searching the 3 local guitar stores I settled on the Ibanez EWC30EBENT (chocolate brown/ black grained Ebony). The regular EW is awesome, and has a fuller tone .. but the EWC is so much more portable and easier to play. Either way.. great guitar no matter what variation you purchase!

It depends on what you want to do with it. If you are into strumming and using a pick, this would probably be perfect for your needs.
If you are into fingerpicking, for about the same price I would recommend going for a Seagull S6 instead. It has a wider fretboard and just feels better for fingerpicking..
Don't get me wrong though, this Ibanez is a wicked guitar. I just discovered that it was the wrong guitar for my style, so I sold it for a seagull (i got an Artist Portrait)
it is one of the better of all acoustics i have played. great resonance and tone, lus i cant describe all the compliments you'll get when using it in public. go for it, you wont regret it.

It is an Ibanez EW20ASE, it is a $350-400 guitar but plays and sounds like some of the $1500 taylors in the store.. After a $100 proper setup, this thing is freaking amazing. You wouldn't think Ibanez could make a decent acoustic, but they did!
@darkwuff exactly my thoughts lol only thing I did was have the action lowered and yeah I like it better than any of my other or previous guitars..... I own a Hagstom and a Tak right now but have had Fenders as well and I love my Gibson but this is just as nice a sounding guitar for a lot less and I believe it is a hell of a lot nicer looking!!!
The action was too high on this as a stock model, especially for finger picking. Depending on your style, yours may be set up well for you. The neck also needed to be adjusted as well as frets filed down. This is all due to the guitar shifting over time and having a guitar set up (i think of it as a check up) is necessary after a while on any acoustic, regardless of quality.
@Berserk1337 He would of gone to someone with more knowledge than him about such things, and had the truss rod adjusted. Along with other slight adjustments.
@Berserk1337 I imagine the same as what I had done.....I just asked my local guitar store guy to give it the full monte, ha ha, and he custom lowered the action, a personal thing I always get done, but also he checks to make sure neck is perfectly alighned and all fretts are perfectly set that sorta thing. It xost me 100 bucks as well but well worth it!!!

It depends on what you want to do with it. If you are into strumming and using a pick, this would probably be perfect for your needs.

that is the exact same thing i went through.
the seagull helped a ton for finger style and i was able to get a really low setup without buzz. s6's are great

What I meant by that is that it was set-up by an experienced luthier (the best in the city) to lower the action and such, not by me in my garage!
