It is not necessary to stick your tongue out to reach the high notes "effortlessly." I have listened to Sourthern Gospel (seen many groups live) for years, and these groups always feature a tenor. They don't stick their tongues out, and they don't have that shrill tone (sorry, but it is) .
It was the way Kris sang "How Sweet it is" that convinced me to vote for him. So, after that, he was my favorite to win hands down. That's the night I realized how talented he was.
"catastrophe" is an opinion, so how about we don't confuse it with fact... plus, Kris, Adam and Allison's albums have nothing to do with last year's contestants' albums, so that opinion was irrelevant [and unsupported, seeing both Davids' albums are better than a lot of artists' who have more time to write and record]

I respect your opinion. But, I'd like for people to give up the "screaming" thing. Adam is extremely talented, and can hit the high notes effortlessly. It's just a matter of liking his style of music. Also, making your tounge flat and sticking it out is a technique that is taught to singers in professional classes. It helps to hit the high notes by opening your throat and lifting your pallete.
u know i was not a kris fan at first but i think these little interviews he does has really won me over. he is not the close minded person i had mistakenly judged him to be. if you look at his interviews and some with adam you can see he's a really great person. so i also went back and looked at his singing and u know he is actually really good. it's more understated but if he chooses right songs and has a good plan i think he can really do well. give him a chance!
And before the Kris fans hate on me, Kris will sell well with his debut I'm sure. I just wouldn't be shocked if Allison does much better than Kris. LOL. Ah well, she'd deserve it seeing as she's very talented and no one even considered her for the Nokia. I thought she should stay on top 4 night but Adam was coming off of B2 danger so I couldn't even cast votes for her, it was too sad. And the tweens were uber busy saving Kris and Danny.
Allison and Kris are both signed to jive along with Jordin Sparks and David Archuleta. Allison has a very mainstream sound to her voice that Kris cannot replicate. Allison is like the next Kelly Clarkson. Kris will alienate a non-AI watching music audience. My bet's on Allison doing very very well in single sales. Adam will sell out concerts and hopefully sell lots of copies of his debut. Adam will also get the most media buzz for his project since he's more exciting than Kris.
