@79Testo Alot of these coon are caught of Bear Baits I run from spring to fall. They eat well..LOL I usually use some beaver meat and fish oil for coons in the late fall. I use sardines early season.
I was using a mix of Jack Mack, Peanut butter on bread, which worked good for a while early season and now from here on out they need fish or some type of meat to commit to a trap, I use a little coon gland lure too.

@safzuan 2 reasons: #1 Money for their pelt/Food. #2 nuisance animal control. Otter carcasses are use by Natural Resources Biologists for studies. Raccoon meat is turned into breakfast sausage and "3 meat" hotdogs and served at the local soup kitchen.
Should the connibear trap be bolted down to prevent the target animal from running away with it? (if it is possible after being smashed to death) just wondering?
@0605dustin If your shipping them to the auction houses then you want them done up right or it will cost you money. If you can find a local buyer in your area you might be able to sell to him fur out or even in the whole.
@0605dustin Just remember that each step you dont take to get to the finished product is less money in your pocket. The most money comes from finished product shipped directly to FHA or NAFA. No middle man to take any.
@0605dustin If your putting it on a board then you need to put it on the board FUR IN to sell at the auction. Fur in animals are coon, otter, mink, muskrat, skunk. Fur out animals are coyote, bobcat, fox, fisher, marten. Beaver are skun open and put on a hoop or a beaver board. Hopefully I can put up some skinning and finishing pelts videos this fall/winter. Good Luck on the Line.
