i would love to learn this.i went on a training course for hypnotherapy and learnt the stairs routine and all together takes about half an hour to get relaxed. i was told this is mainly done becuase the person is paying so needs to last about an hour. went to see derren brown last night so got me interested again
The first question is, what do you like to achieve. Certain results require "deep" trance other's a light trance (a mere handshake interrupt induction shown here) is enough.
WHat you've seen here is a perfect induction only the deepener isn't shown but is easily performed.
Great video, i have a question, how did you learn hipnosis? im 14 years old and i have learned the basics of hypnisis so far and have been able to sucessfully able to hypnotise some of my friends and even my friends mom and grandma! i would like to know more about hypnosis so where should i look? thanks.
when you attempted your first hypnotism, were you a bit skeptical of your abilities, like, when you tried it on anything for the first time, whether it be practice or something.
Yes i was a little, but its science. It was more anticipation like when learning a new hobbie, learning to drive a car. Its also a matter of trust and go with it. Trusting your conscious and unconscious.
Its about getting it into the muscle and developing the belief that you will do it and it is easy. If you have that your client will also have that belief.
I have been on a Jon Chase course, but only a small weekend course. I was a Hypnotist for 5 yrs before that course with many other trainers too. Thanks for the feedback
I understand, you used alot of pacing "as your eyes begin to get heavier" and this was simply what was naturally happening due to the fact he was starring at something above his eyelevel, however i was wondering how you were able to make him go to the 'trance' stage so quickly by grabbing his hand and pulling it down his face, could you explain please?
Great question. I also think the suggestion about his hand getting closer became a spiral into trance. He also did not know i would take his hand which caused a shock/suprise into the induction.
Thanks for the video, I was just wondering - do you have to create rapport by copying breathing and eye movement patterns before sending him to the trance? Please answer back!
I wouldnt say you have too see Eye movement patterns, however i think getting rapport with people, just makes people feel at ease, copying breathing is essential for this induction, as you pace and then lead them to trance. Thank you Oliver
Hey Joseph. Im starting to learn to practice self hypnosis and also on others is there any books and or tricks and techniques you can show me or tell me about any good books and such if so please let me know thank you.
I would say Ormand Gill Encyclopedia of stage hypnosis or any of his books. Dave Elman is good too. For therapy Milton Erickson was great at Metaphors.
Thanks MJSMIFF, i've learnt from many in the UK, from Stage hypnosis (for excellent inductions and confidence) and therputic for the congruencey and empowerment. And now obvisouly i teach it.
Hey Lynchiee,Its great you know your history.I like the way of bringing out of trance,as it gives me a better opportunity to test my work,it takes away any "hypnosis hangover" & makes you feel ready & alert.I am happy with my choice of words, however, look deeper and you'll see something more than words, thats when we become Great Hypnotists, rather than just linguists, try it out.Sometimes it takes 2 secs, sometimes just 30secs.I suppose it tells us we are all different in our approaches. Thanks
is that the entire hand shake induction based on a suggestibility of the subject? or is it standard throughout for everyone? Would it work on someone that I met at random?
It works on people randomly. But wont work for everyone. Its more about your confidence, if your confident it would work much better, no confidence - it wont work. Some people will refuse to participate which kinda hinders it ;)
Taken from Richard Bandler and john Grinder. You do know this can be done much faster with refining your choice of words a little. I wasnt to fond of your technique for bringing him out of trance. Just from watching this piece I did notice a variety of changes you could make towards your approach of NLP within inductions. I'll carry on watchin your others and let you know.

Hi good stuff.
I assume you've trained with jon Chase in the past - i went on his week course recently.
Did you begin doing therapy sessions after training with Jon or did you do other training / courses as well or prior?
Thanks, Nick
